but he cant :yeshrug: he has to raise taxes on the middle class to pay for his shyt, and it would be too obvious. he was admitting it all during the hillary debates
Lie then, after further research I was wrong back then. lol
When running for office you can say a lot in theory no one can prove you wrong on. And compared to lies of previous presidents this is quite small.

all things considered, the climate of the country, the president we just elected

to realistically win, this might be the best we can come up with :ehh: bidens experience, ability to son trump on stage like he did paul ryan, beto's energy on the campaign trail. the right "look" to flip those moderates and white women voting blocs :mjpls: (lets be dead honest; in 2020, thats gonna be a thing :yeshrug: avenatti is right)

and both could approach with a zero fukks given attitude, biden because he's got less than a decade on earth and beto because he's about to lose to that fukkin dirtbag cruz. and this would also mean we dont waste a promising future candidate if they lose, because the dems are a LOCK to win 2024 if trump wins in 2020

**as a bernie stan i 2016, i dont want him anywhere near this election. zero chance
I've been thinking Biden/Beto for 4 years then Biden can pass the torch to Beto in 2024. I think Biden/Beto could win Texas too. If not in 2020, then 2024 for sure.

is this if gillum wins or loses? if he wins in a week, he's not gonna bounce on florida after they had his back in the election

2024 tho :ehh:

Idk man..... that call for the presidency is going to be strong and like I said it's going to be harder for Congress to come out of the next two years looking good at all.

Biden is a human gaffe machine, and his record is very suspect. He voted for the crime bill, he voted for the Iraq war, supported TPP, and I could go on. I like Beto, but he is super weak imo. I was not impressed by his debate preformances. I don’t think he is tough enough for a national campaign. Biden/Beto is a terrible ticket imo. I think Trump would get re-elected if that is the Dems ticket.
Edit: Biden could still win, but their are better candidates.

Hillary wants to be the first person born with a vagina to be POTUS. She wants that shiit so bad, and she basically owns the DNC......it's her bottom biitch. She's trying get her face on some coins or dollar bills period.

Didn't yall see those excerpts from Donna Brazille.

All this fantasy DNC ticket making ain't happening if Hillary isn't the headliner....:laff:.

Honestly, if somehow another DNC candidate survives the process...give me Tulsi Gabbard...:myman:. One of few politicians in either party I can stomach.

The Godverse
What, exactly, are the policy positions of this ticket? What are they going to do for the country? All I've heard from Biden is that he wants to beat Trump up behind the schoolyard. Beto, although leaning progressive, is extremely green and doesn't have a very strong record to stand on. So what are their positions on healthcare? Minimum wage? The financial sector? Monopoly/anti-trust? Foreign policy? Income/wage inequality? Housing? Voting rights? Women's rights? Who are they going to appoint to key cabinet positions?

Biden's key trait is peddling Comey-esque civility crap, and he has a metric fukkton of shytty baggage. Beto, while taking some progressive stances, is a member of the New Dems and doesn't have any signature issues he can stand on besides the vague notion of not being Ted Cruz. He's not even AOC level ready.

One of the biggest concerns for 2020 is not whether the Dem candidate can beat Trump, but what they will do in the event they do beat him. Yeah, the Biden/Beto ticket will make for a very entertaining election, but what the hell do they do on day 1 of their administration? Can we expect 4 years of punching back on their defeated opponent like Trump has been doing with Hillary? The liberal landscape is flooded with figures who are solely defined by their opposition to Trump. What is needed more than ever is a new, energizing, freestanding vision of what America can be. shytting on Trump isn't enough.

Biden will definitely have to flesh out his platform if he runs, but he's not merely some anti-Trumper. Dude has established himself as a Rust Belt/working class hero. That is vital if we want to win back Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

I want Schiff as AG or running the DoJ where he can fukk with the criminals in the GOP, not as a VP with limited power.
:weirdo:

The Same Democrats Who Denounce Donald Trump as a Lawless, Treasonous Authoritarian Just Voted to Give Him Vast Warrantless Spying Powers

LEADING THE CHARGE against reforms of the FBI’s domestic spying powers was Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee who, in countless TV appearances, has strongly insinuated, if not outright stated, that Trump is controlled by and loyal to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Indeed, just this weekend, in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Schiff accused Trump of corruptly abusing the powers of the DOJ and FBI in order to vindictively punish Hilary Clinton and other political enemies. Referring to Trump’s various corrupt acts, Schiff pronounced: “We ought to be thinking in Congress, Democrats and Republicans alike, beyond these three years what damage may be done to the institutions of our democracy. ”

Yet just two days later, there was the very same Adam Schiff, on the House floor, dismissing the need for real safeguards on the ability of Trump’s FBI to spy on Americans. In demanding rejection of the warrant requirement safeguard, Schiff channeled dikk Cheney — and the Trump White House — in warning that any warrant requirements would constitute “a crippling requirement in national security and terrorism cases.”

Standing with Schiff in opposing these safeguards was his fellow California Democrat Eric Swalwell, who has devoted his entire congressional term almost exclusively to accusing Trump of being a puppet of the Kremlin, in the process becoming a media darling among the MSNBC set and online #Resistance movement. Yet after spending a full year warning that Trump’s real loyalty was to Moscow rather than America, Swalwell echoed Schiff in demanding that no warrant safeguards were needed on the spying power of Trump’s FBI.

If one were to invoke the standard mentality and tactics of Schiff and Swalwell — namely, impugning the patriotism and loyalty of anyone questioning their Trump/Russia accusations — one could seriously question their own patriotism in handing these vast, virtually unlimited spying powers to a president whom they say they believe is a corrupt agent of a foreign power.

...

As the American Civil Liberties Union put it bluntly about the bill supported by Pelosi and Schiff: “The House just passed a bill to give the Trump administration greater authority to spy on Americans, immigrants, journalists, dissidents, and everyone else.” The privacy group Electronic Frontier Foundation echoed that sentiment: “The House just approved the disastrous NSA surveillance extension bill that will allow for continued, unconstitutional surveillance that hurts the American people and violates our Fourth Amendment rights.”

This dude really shouldn't be anywhere near leadership in the DOJ :francis:

I understand your point on those merits, but then again, that means that most of the party probably shouldn't be near the DoJ, sadly. It also means that maybe even giving Schiff the benefit of the VP spot, coming from that perspective, is not a great idea.

Which is fine, I see that viewpoint entirely and understand it.

Most of the people posted in this thread are people that they're fans of instead of people who have a chance.

2020 is too early for Gillum, Newsom or Beto unless they're in the VP slot.

After 2016, I have a hard time thinking an AA or woman headlining ticket would win tbh. I bet you the first woman president will be a Republican.

Biden/Beto is a decent ticket, if I was a younger candidate I would wait for 2024 so as not to go up against an incumbent.
