Here's a video of Andrea Bargnani absolutely dominating the 2006 summer league, a couple of weeks after he was selected first overall by the Raptors...we all thought we had the next Dirk, yet with more athleticism lol. Man..he was literally blowing by dudes off the dribble at half court...and then knocking down 3's with contact, as a 19 year old 7 footer.

He showed flashes the first 3 years as well..yet just could not put it together.

Bargs was 21 his rookie year, and one of his weaknesses even before he got to the NBA was team defense, athletically speaking he wasn't on the same level as Kristaps who for his size looks like he has elite lateral quickness which could make a major impact on defense.

His ceiling is low, and the Knicks did the right thing drafting Kristaps and then signing Lopez. You're not getting guys with Kristaps talent & potential in free agency, but you can get defensive centers

you can tell who can play and who can't pretty quickly. i usually don't need more than a few minutes.

He's skilled no doubt but let's see him against rugged nba players, not summer league dudes

its not even about the other guys on the court. just the way he moves fora 7'3" guy was enough for me. it reminded me of when i first saw embiid against duke (during that first wiggins v. parker game) in 2014. guys over 7 feet tall are not supposed to move that smooth with agility and quickness. the guy has incredible physical gifts to go along with a nice jump shot and passion for the game.

he'll be a GREAT player in the league. ALL I NEEDED WAS FIVE MINUTES.
