You admit to being an agnostic theist...yet claim you're not dogmatic. :stopitslime:

You admit theres no evidence to your beliefs...yet you claim you're not dogmatic. :stopitslime:

you admit you're a "non-religious theist"...yet you claim you're not dogmatic :stopitslime:

You attribute characteristics to your deity...yet you claim you're not dogmatic :stopitslime:

So isn't that the opposite of dogmatic.....I really don't want to get in the middle of your argument but it kinda makes no sense.

Its a cop out.

They want to have religiously tinged ideas without being identified with the major religious sects. They leech ideas and form new internal cult memberships yet claim they're the only member so they get to pretend like they're "not religious" and therefore somehow more "informed" about theology and spirituality.

I'm going to explain it to you for that nikka. He believes there is a creator he just has no idea who or what he or they are. His only evidence is that he is alive. For all he know the big bang theory, and evolution and all other scientific evidence may be right but He believes there is a higher power that made order out of chaos. Hence agnostic theist as in he has no ideas on who or what he or they why and why not creation or evolution or the big bang came to be.

hope that helps :mjpls:

But isn't agnosticism basically the opposite of dogmatism? Or am I wrong here?

Doesn't matter.

He's attributing characteristics to what he claims that god DOES or DOES NOT do.

The moment you start doing that...thats dogmatic, SIMPLY because you haven't confirmed what you're saying to be true one way or the other.

If you truly don't know something, then say that. If you're putting limits (of what you can and cant do) on something, especially without proof or evidence, then its a dogmatic belief.

agnosticism is the lack of knowledge.

Gnosticism is to know something

A+Gnostic = Agnostic.

Atheism is the lack of belief.

Theism is belief.

A+Theism = atheism.

I'm an agnostic-atheist. I don't know if theres a god, but I do not believe any of the existing evidence to lead me to believe that there is one.

That's hilarious to me. :pachaha:

He needs to sit down somewhere.

Thread should've ended right the fukk there. Our problems are our problems, I don't care how liberal and friendly a white dude is, I will blow the fukk up if he tries discussing our problems as if he's one of us :beli:

It seems like everybody these days feels like they got clout to speak on black issues like they can relate. I've had whites, indians, and latinos try to tell me how black people should think and feel. These other races need to hop off our dikks and worry about their own race's issues.

Its a shame you can't defend the dogmatic inconsistencies with your position.
There is nothing to defend when the definition of dogmatic doesnt apply to me.

There is only you reaching for something that isn't there.

We need to bump that thread of those 2 white transgender teenagers finding love or the transgender elementary school boy going to the Supreme Court trying to use the girls' bathroom. White people need to deal with that stuff first.

I don't really like a white guy saying some shyt like that (at all, actually), but to some extent he has a point.

While I don't think black Christians are 'c00ns' per se, and many have done great things, Chris Rock did kind of have a point -

Let's think about this for a second and put the concept of Judeo/Christian God to the side. What characteristics did he attribute to this God. Did he claim God was good or bad? Did he claim to know how the God he believes exist work or operate through this world? No. All he said or rather implied was for there to be creation must be a creator. It's really a simple concept to grasp. There is nothing dogmatic about his chain of thinking bc he has no clear definition of who that higher power is.
