I never once mentioned Christianities roots, its pretty obvious that's where it came from. I was correcting the guy who claimed it was an African religion, and when I spoke of Monotheism with a pantheon of demigods I was only using a specific tribe to prove my point, obviously there were various beliefs among pre-colonial africans.

Its roots can be traced all over. Christianity esp borrowed from a bunch of other sources (Egyptian, greek, hebrew, etc) And both Egyptians and Greeks borrowed from the Africans. Egypt is African anyway.
