These same voters can be easily distracted by other things and probably won't go out of their way to show up to the polls for a primary let alone a local election unless it's a candidate like Barack Obama. Southern Black people are more conservative than northern black people and only 13% of the youth (more liberal) showed up. Young people do not vote and it's really that simple. Even Obama only got about 50% of them to vote. Old people out vote us by about 30% and that's your answer.

They are not single issue voters, they are just young and young people just don't give a fukk about politics. The younger you are the less likely you are to vote. Most Americans don't give a fukk about politics, and the ones that do go out and watch Fox News.
