You guys do know that American wrestling is a racist carny white trash "sport" right? I don't know why anyone expects progression out of a TV show that white people write, white people fund, and white people control.

HHH went over Booker T clean as a whistle while berating his race. Not to mention the blackface DX vs the Nation feud

The chairman lost his hair in a match and then all of a sudden started walking around in a du rag mocking black people.

The biggest wrestling star ever (not movie star Dwayne) Hulk Hogan is a bonafide "she better not bring a Ni--er home unless he's rich" :mjpls:

Now, I as a black man love wrestling. But its rooted audience is kids and Americans who watch NASCAR. This question is like asking "why hasn't there been a black captain on Star Trek" (please don't kill me if there has been... I have no clue :snoop: :mjlol:)

I will always find it ironic that two southern based promotions(WCW and TNA) had black world champions but the northeastern based WWE has never had one. I really don't count Booker T and Mark Henry's runs because by the time they were champs the World Heavyweight championship (big gold belt) was just a glorified intercontinental championship.

The Rock is a little sketchy because although he's mixed and could be considered the first black WWE champion I think when people mean black they mean being the son of a black man and black woman.

Can't believe someone compared the Rock and Obama... Obama has real black man problems. The rocks family on TV is Roman Reigns, Usos, Tamina, Nia Jaxx. Not one black person there. The rock is a samoan.

We all know the reason why there has never been a black champ. Wrestling is a business where the outcome is controlled and to reach to the top everyone has to like you or putting the belt on you would increase business temporarily (the reason why Jinder has the belt is because of wwe expanding to India)

When a wrestler comes in they always make it an effort to highlight his flaws and they never take time to improve. Apollo Crews has a world champion look, but they never got him over in NXT, hot shotted him to the main roster and he doesn't have any promo ability and he needs better ring timing.

If the wwe was really pressed to create a black world champion they would've taken one of the promising black talents over the last decade (lashley, kofi, mvp, big e) protected them, improved them and elevated them. But they don't care.

The only hope we have is if WWE tries to expand into Nigeria and they make Kofi change his gimmick to Kofi Lagos.

If it weren't for Lashley's MMA interests and Kristal Marshall, he def would have been a multi-time champ. Vince loved him, he had the look, and could actually wrestle. I've always mentioned that he wasn't good on the mic, but Brock wasn't either during all that time. Right now though, Lashley is the total package, and I wish he would have already been back the last couple of years. He could bring that same legitimacy that Lesnar brings.

If Jinder Mahal can get a rocket push then people like Kofi, MVP, Shelton, etc. were more than qualified to get a World Title run.

While MVP was having that record setting US Title run, he could've easily had the World Title during that time instead of Khali.

Kofi could've been in Sheamus' spot to dethrone Cena at TLC '09.

Lashley was probably gonna be the WWE Champion, but we'll never know.

They could've put Big E or Kofi in the MiTB and had one of them win it (never been a black MiTB winner).

No reason why they shouldnt have put the title on Henry in 2013.

But instead of all of that, we we're reduced to a second rate WHC and Velocity status ECW Championship.

The Rock's black family isn't in wrestling...lol. There isn't a Samoan in the world that looks like Rock.
