i think a big difference is back then you didn't use the same device that could be used to call for help to instead record it. if bystanders back then were picking up a phone to call a friend and say "damn man this guy just got stabbed and is bleeding out" then you would get a similar reaction: you couldn't call 911 first?

I was in Boston back in March with my girl and it was FREEZING. A homeless black man was unconscious on the sidewalk in front of a restaurant and people were literally stepping over him to get in. When I stopped to call the police and help, me and a few other people picked him up and went to put him in the room in between the restaurant and outside and the waitress was tripping until other people started going off on her. When the manager came out she didn't have a problem with letting him get warm. shyt's disgusting how some people are.

I looked up some other stories about this and there were a lot of white kids in the photos. May even be a majority white school.

Finally..glad you observed it. Somebody sees it. Oceanside is majority white area. Oceanside is a majority white high school so is Castleton. Changes to the time your gettin too. I know ol heads that talk about cats barely even seein time off catchin bodies back in the day. It was easier to be elusive and hide what u were doin period. This. The chart actually disproves his claim bc the crime rate on that chart peaks at late 80s to 90s. And the rate for the 1960s and 2012 is evened out, they are basically the same numbers. What is he looking at
and yes, I agree with you, the concept of people being watched or recorded can act as deterrent, these cameras and devices everywhere, at any given moment. What needs to be discussed is the fact that the evidence collected these days are from people not realizing their actions are being recorded, feeling a need to record criminal activity or they self-snitch by running their mouth of social media. If anything, it's not that more people are committing crimes, it's more people getting caught for doing so.

He's Brooklyn. I'm not putting this on Crips, no disrespect. I hear you. Let me clarify - there's a lot of unsanctioned subsets running around under the Crips (and Bloods) flag that need to be vetted bc the concept of a white dude running around with the association, should be checked. Not putting fault on the OG sets, bc people are running around vouching for this and that or merging just to have credibility without getting authorization or permission from the main. In NY, certain sets have to be blessed by Chicago for the affiliation they claim. But at the same time, the younger sets, divide off into subsets even further based on blocks and linking up. It's not just about automatic rivalry among the factions.

Plus the real knuckleheads got caught up in juvie and jail much earlier. Now you have kids that legit should be locked up, somehow graduating high school.
