I feel you on the built off the hype thing, breh but speaking from personal experience:

I really didn't think much of it when I first starting playing. As a matter of fact, I was giving Ghost recon a second chance and fell in love w/ it's new PVP modes.

I played PUBG the first time on the second day it released in early access for the X1 and it was okay. Nothing to go crazy about. Buggy as shyt.

Breh, literally, after their first update, I played for the second time and got hooked. I had every reason not to like and still fell in love wants I felt that adrenaline hit from the situational tension it creates.

And when I solo'd and got within the top 10 for the first time, with my heart beating fast as shyt and legit feeling completely immersed in that competitive lust that it creates... I feel as if a breh is competitive, they can't hate this shyt. OG Call of Duty Search & Destroy, Rainbow Six Siege and Gears of War 1 gamebattles matches and 4th quarters in close games in 2k or madden are the only other experiences that give me that adrenaline spike + endorphin rush like this.

It's fukking amazing.
I won a game in likr my 5th game. Was boring to me.

recorded a clip of another Squad win, once again my whole team had died before the first circle closed :francis:
I love using the VSS when im solo in a squad game, im able to pick people off before they know what hits them all the while being silent and not giving my position away during all the chaos, only draw back is ill get alot of knock downs and the other squads will take the kills, but ill take that dinner in the end :yeshrug:

dont you mainly play Overwatch?
Overwatch is the most boring competative game to play, you literally have assigned roles per character and expected to play them how everyone else plays them or you will get bytched at by the whole team. it became super repetative to me to where every game I played the same way I always do depending on the map or character I used, who ever fukks up their job the most is the team thats gonna loose

This game boutta fukk around and become the best selling game of all time :francis: its already outsold every GTA and Call of Duty :francis: on the heels of Overwatch :francis:

its a decent game, but it wasnt all that to me when I played it. Definitely built off hype. The top streamers of it, dont even seem to enjoy it most the time, they just play cause it gets them the most viewers

welp, i guess if you don't enjoy it.. everybody that says they're enjoying it is lying :francis:

I never said that.. But im one those weirdos that watch streams more than playing games (I have 2 monitors I can browse the coli, do work, etc on 1 and have twitch open on the other). PUBG is mostly what I watch because the streamers I watch mostly play it (Summit, Shroud and for a few week time DrDisrespect)

all 3 think the game is overall trash :ld: but it brings in the most views :ld:

what does it say about a game that the 3 most popular players for it dont think too highly of it :ld:

I will say it is one of the few games of all times that seem to have captured audiences both here, europe and in asia... usually games only seem popular to 1 of the 3 or 2 of the 3 major gaming areas. Only games I can recall that all 3 regions enjoyed were Starcraft and World of Warcraft in history

this game is huge in all 3 regions

Streamers who apparently hate playing a game because viewers, who think the game is boring, tune in to watch them play the game they both hate.

What a time to be alive.

I'd hate most games if I were forced to play on schedule , even when I may not be too into it, just because my viewers expect it.

When play turns into business, it tends to soil the experience... Especially if you feel like you HAVE to play it to keep your viewers.

nikkas in here, not getting paid to play a host of games they can choose to play, and just making the decision to play are soon they are enjoying, breh.

Real shyt, your favorite streamers should join the coli and tell us what they like to do when...

:patrice:

When... They clock out of their 9-5 video game job?

What do they play when they are taking a break from playing games?:skip:

they only feel this way about PUBG :hubie: people like Summit have moved onto Fortnite which runs smoother :hubie: hasnt complained once even though took a slight hit to viewers (40k to 20-30k, if you can call that a hit :heh: )

When Shroud switches from PUBG to another game, he can go from 40-70k viewers down to 10-15k..

its only PUBG

not sure why people in here defending it.. wouldnt you want the game to improve :wtf:

whats with people just always defending corporations :patrice: the game is actual wack :patrice: its just easy to stream, follow along, unlike fast paced games like say Overwatch where how fast it is has actually made it harder to follow in esports which the game was tailored for, because the average viewer doesnt understand whats going on..

its no different as to why Hearthstone is such a popular game to stream/watch, its easy to follow along and the streamer has plenty of time to interact with viewers..

this isnt rocket science.. if it makes you feel better, most Hearthstone streamers also hate playing that game but they feel stuck because it brings them the viewers :hubie:

I personally have the game, its just not that great :hubie: before you say survival isnt for me, Rust is my top 5-10 games of all time :hubie:

Breh,

I thought the consensus in entertainment is that most viewers like alot of action. Most of the game is the creep and tension towards the lead up.

Overwatch and the call of duties would seem to provide that.

Now you're equating nikkas not finding your opinion credible with brehs not wanting it to improve?

Then again, I'm not versed on the science of game steaming.

shyt is hot to many coli posters so...:yeshrug:

i dunno why you're so focused on 3 people when you're saying the game has caught on globally.

korea's not playing pubg because they watched summit on twitch.

battle royale is just a fun concept.

and pubg was lucky enough that their janky ass product was "first" to market.

but the game has definitely improved over time. by a LOT.

plus shroud and summit 100% loved the game when they first started playing it. i remember shroud saying he thought pubg could become the best game of all time :patrice: but putting in 70 hours a week for months changes things.

sounds like the internet. they can all have a cynical circle jerk, and feel better about themselves by saying everything sucks
