played a few rounds last night. I hadn't played for a minute, and I wanted to check out the new map. shyt was 100+ fps the whole time

I'm legit confused. Help me out -

Isn't the PC version of PUBG something that has been worked on for a minute already and optimization is a concern even for brehs with high end PCs?

I'm sure you've been a PC head for a minute and I'd bet money you've acknowledged optimization might make you hesitate to fukk w/ an early access game even though you're PC was solid.

I am disappointed because I was under the impression that the early access was going to be better but now I'm thinking I need to go back to the articles and see what the devs were saying when they talked about certain FPS standards(Were they talking about when the game actually fully releases or early access?)

Are we saying that if the game actually releases on the X1, it'll still be trash performance? Even after all of the updates afforded to the PC product?

Edit: Also, if an X1 player experiences the worst of the performance issues during the place drop and the wait lobby, wouldn't you consider the overall experience a bit more positively if we don't consider the lobby & plane?

Yes and no. I've been landing by water and riding around the coast immediately to parts of the map where people weren't likely to land. Sometimes the first circle fukks up the whole plan and you just have to come ashore in a bad spot, but if the circle lands in water, you can ride around to a spot where nobody has looted.

My main gripe with vehicles though is that you tend to get dashboarded more than when you're on foot. My squad members dropped out while I drove the ship into the deep sea once. And a few times today every passenger in a vehicle dashboarded. Then when they reconnected they had to be shot to get them out of the vehicle.

Easy fix for your teamates Getting stuck in vehicle is for them to hold A to become the driver and then they will be able to exit

they've been working on the PC version for a minute, and it's in a pretty good state right now

the xbox version has had less time, but they only have to worry about two hardware configs. hopefully performance will get better

and no, people shouldn't worry too much about the pre-game performance. but getting bad performance during firefights isn't a good thing

Fortnite battle royal was a stolen idea because of this game. PC gamers will say things like "there was games like this before" but the one thing you'll never hear is what game they are talking about

So in conclusion, your observation is correct. Way more serious tho, like damn near rainbow 6 in the 90's on pc serious

I was ill prepared as I had spent the WHOLE time running from one end of the map to the other with no time to loot

The ONLY bad thing I have to say that I really really hate is the came crashing, I had 2 back to back games where I was deep into the end game, I had end game everything, and both times my game crashed as I made it into the new circle, and I was killed both times as I was afk, it legit felt like I wasted 45mins of my life since I didnt determine my own outcome in both games

I say it's worth buying, it's not my first preview game,I damn near put 80days into Ark:Evolved so I know all about unfinished games, with that said calling the game "broken" is just finding a reason to hate on it.
You would have to ask the X1 players I seen on here

I've been playing on the X, so my experience may be different from yours, but I've been having a blast with it. I haven't had any issues where the buildings spawn in late, but every now and then I might disconnect, though it doesn't make me want to stop playing. I actually came back into a game the other night, and went on to get a chicken dinner

Plus they've released two updates so far, with the next one coming next year (probably the 1st), so I'm sure the game's just gonna keep getting better.

I'd say cop it, and worse case, if you hate it just hit up Microsoft for a refund. If you don't play it for more than 2 hours or wait longer than 14 days, they should refund you.
