Ok. I think imma grab it once it drops.Im on xbox so if you got that lmk ill be on it heavy.
Fortnite battle royal was a stolen idea because of this game. PC gamers will say things like "there was games like this before" but the one thing you'll never hear is what game they are talking aboutOk. I think imma grab it once it drops.
Is looks like a more mature and realistic version of Fortnite to me...same premise?
Is this worth copping for xbox or ps4 brehs?
PS4 isn't getting it anytime.

Day Z (the survival game that predates PUBG that played pretty much like a BR game) and ARMA 2/3 BR mod (created by Brendan Greene who also worked as a consultant on H1Z1:KotK and created PUBG) are what they are referring to. PUBG in fact tends to remind many of its ARMA BR mod roots--they have a similar look and feel. The new Miramar desert map looks like something straight out of ARMA. Other BR games that predate PUBG like the Survival Games mod for Mincraft, H1Z1: King of the Kill, The Culling, Ark (Survival of the Fittest mode) tend to play differently from PUBG probably because of PUBG's ARMA roots. ARMA is a military fps simulator franchise so that could explain the more "serious" gameplay. As for Fortnite, its just another contender in the genre that adds a new element to the mix. Instead of "stolen", maybe "inspired by the success of" would be the better word.Fortnite battle royal was a stolen idea because of this game. If it's unique in its own way then inspired/influenced is correct until it's stolen. The concept of survival isn't exclusive but the way it's presented is. The gameplay is different, but in the case of Fortnite, that's a hijacking of a presentation essentially modifying it's core game to resemble another. It would be like sonic the hedgehog wearing a plumbers hat And slowing down the gameplay. You can do that as a "mod" on PC but a publisher can't create a mod in the same mannerDay Z (the survival game that predates PUBG that played pretty much like a BR game) and ARMA 2/3 BR mod (created by Brendan Greene who also worked as a consultant on H1Z1:KotK and created PUBG) are what they are referring to.
