Ok. I think imma grab it once it drops.
Is looks like a more mature and realistic version of Fortnite to me...same premise?
Fortnite battle royal was a stolen idea because of this game. PC gamers will say things like "there was games like this before" but the one thing you'll never hear is what game they are talking about :francis:

So in conclusion, your observation is correct. Way more serious tho, like damn near rainbow 6 in the 90's on pc serious

Read that the Xbox servers are up and running over on Reddit. Didn't try for myself, but people are getting keys from here https://www.cdkeys.com/xbox-live/games/playerunknowns-battlegrounds-xbox-one

If you're gonna just wait and cop this from the Xbox Store, Rakuten.com has a 20% off code (GREEN20) that's valid right now. Plus you can use ya points if you've ordered from there before.

My copy from Amazon won't get here 'till tomorrow :stopitslime:

Day Z (the survival game that predates PUBG that played pretty much like a BR game) and ARMA 2/3 BR mod (created by Brendan Greene who also worked as a consultant on H1Z1:KotK and created PUBG) are what they are referring to. PUBG in fact tends to remind many of its ARMA BR mod roots--they have a similar look and feel. The new Miramar desert map looks like something straight out of ARMA. Other BR games that predate PUBG like the Survival Games mod for Mincraft, H1Z1: King of the Kill, The Culling, Ark (Survival of the Fittest mode) tend to play differently from PUBG probably because of PUBG's ARMA roots. ARMA is a military fps simulator franchise so that could explain the more "serious" gameplay. As for Fortnite, its just another contender in the genre that adds a new element to the mix. Instead of "stolen", maybe "inspired by the success of" would be the better word.

If it's unique in its own way then inspired/influenced is correct until it's stolen. The concept of survival isn't exclusive but the way it's presented is. The gameplay is different, but in the case of Fortnite, that's a hijacking of a presentation essentially modifying it's core game to resemble another. It would be like sonic the hedgehog wearing a plumbers hat And slowing down the gameplay. You can do that as a "mod" on PC but a publisher can't create a mod in the same manner :stop:

^While both games are based on Epic's Unreal Engine 4, unless there is some type of proprietary code owned by Bluehole directly lifted from PUBG and used in Fortnite without their permission, I don't care about the whole alleged stolen idea nonsense. :yeshrug:Games, like many forms of media/art/tech, draw inspiration and ideas from their predecessors/competition. Clones of successful games are always something that will exist. If Bluehole actually takes Epic to court and proves its claims instead of issuing threats in the game media like they did months ago then we can say that Epic "stole" the idea. What most likely happen was: Epic saw the success of PUBG, and a decision was made to spawn off a BR mode from their early access survival game to get a piece of the action. Epic is pretty much owned by Tencent ( a huge Chinese corp) that also is Bluehole's distributor in China for PUBG where it is huge. It makes sense to me that Epic would make a BR game and they had the base of Fortnite Survival to do it in a rapid fashion. Hell, Tencent themselves have a PUBG clone coming called Europa that looks very similar to PUBG and ARMA mods than Fortnite ever will. It is what it is.

they managed to make the ui look like a real game :ehh:

the new map is a crazy change from the original one. i didn't think they'd switch up the buildings like that.

the game needed vaulting

i hope more battle royale games keep coming out.

So many Console players bout to get exposed :wow:
This game offers NO aim assist, I been watching players streams and seen 1v1's where they use up all their ammo missing shots :mjlol:
I turn off aim assist on all the games I play so my first time shot is A1:yeshrug:

Played 4 matches after waiting like 45mins cuz servers were down, game needs ALOT of optimization, the player movement and aiming felt clunky, the audio needs some improvement,as well as added custom settings for it, in all I had fun, and it is still a preview game so I have no problem investing by purchasing this game
