@Jayson_bourn more lighter coats>>>>less heavy coats

When you do heavy coats thats when you get drips and paint sag. Just do light coats. When you say it didnt come out as you hoped, what makes you say that? I cant really see anything wrong w/ it, you took the pics madd far.

My bad....edited the original post, peep the latest image.. You see how it just kinda seems light and inconsistent? I did my best to spray evenly. I was expecting a darker shade of black. Man maybe I should just vinyl wrap this sh)t

What brand did you get & where did you get it from? Do one more coat over that. Make sure you shake that can for a couple mins too. You dont have to cover the whole car like you did, its unnecessary Just cover it like how dude has it in this video & keep the can the same distance as he did & you'll be fine. Dont spray too close or you'll fukk it up.

@Brooklynzson Good lookin on the vid. I'm going to give it a try today after work and see how it goes. I'll post some pics.

What do you guys think of dipping and clear coating the rims as well? Been thinking about it. Though the murder look is a bit played

I had a set powder coated once I'd rather do that granted I paid 200 for the whole set, granted I did all prep myself.

i used blackout tape on my window trim just to prevent it from looking inconsistent like you said and having to respray it, much easier imo.

i tried on one rim but fukked it up. I was spraying it too far like it was reg spray paint so it had a messed up texture. :snoop: Had to peel it off, it was a bytch to get off, especially around the rivets.

 i've sprayed plastidip on too thick and too thin but ive never had that sandy ass texture. shyt look like tar

if you or anyone else have problems taking plastidip off (probably due to just putting on light coats) you can either spray some more shyt on there so the first thin layers adhere to the new shyt you're piling on top and then peel off
or

i'd just buy another can and spray on more shyt then peel off normally.

Yeah I sprayed it from too far, thats why I got that texture. I'll try again in a week or two.

To the people talkin Down. Do you know someone who did their car and it looks trash?

Several. It's a horrible thing to do. There's a guy here in my building that drives a Chrome Wrapped Gallardo, ugliest thing I've ever seen.

Plastidipping just looks immature and tasteless to me.

Kandy Paint>Plastidip.

Took a shot at my window trim last night.... didn't come out as well as I'd hoped.

This is 4 coats... 1 heavy foundation coat. Waited an hour for the first coat then 30 min intervals for the lighter coats.

I was hoping it would be darker... Should I peel and start again with heavier coats each time? Should I keep it as is? Should I go back to the chrome? help brehs!

Here are pics of the process
