Y'all are caught up in semantics

LeBron and Durant both wanted the clearest, easiest path to a championship

Nobody disputes that

So why y'all tripping on Durant?
lebron wanted to beat the Celtics his rivals at the time and also wades rivals .Durant wanted no competition at all and instead joined his rivals. now if lets say kawhi team up with harden and someone else etc it'll be to beat the warriors which is what lebron did. lebron tried to get bosh and amare in Cleveland as well.

Excellent analogy. To take it a step further it's like having a crew and that crew was tough enough to take out the bullies but you bytched out against those bullies.:camby: with this "he just wanted to win" talk. What was stopping him from winning in OKC? Having to win 4 games? Having to play 4 quarters?

What teammate, pre Big 3, did Pierce have that was as good as Russ? How many times did Pierce blow a 3-1 lead, because he and his Russ caliber teammate went out like bytches, and then he jumped to the squad he lost to. Wanting to play with talent is one thing. Wanting to win is one thing. Choking and then running to the squad you choked against, that won a chip and 73 games without you is another and people need to stop being so intellectually dishonest about this.
Again, I never compared situations. I simply said Pierce should have an appreciation for how much winning a title (on a stacked team at that) elevated his carrier. Im surprised he would criticize KD for putting himself in the best situation to win.

Not being good enough to beat championship teams is what stopped them from winning rings :ehh:

By joining up with Wade and Bosh, Bron didn't want any competition either. Boston was old.

That's EXACTLY what this is. I said this very same shyt the minute that Olive Oyl stick figure signed with GSW :pachaha:

Why didn't that fakkit sign with the Celtics? They have a good team that has mad draft picks they can flip. Great young coach and incredible legacy..

He wanted NO PARTS of Bron without a slaughter crew behind him to jump that nikka on some 3'o clock High shyt :laff:

fukk KD
:russ:Funny and true at the same damn time.

It's because he joined the team that beat him, it would have been like LeBron joining the Pistons in 06 after his team lost in 7. He stuck it out and beat the Pistons in 6 the next year, and most importantly Bron didn't leave a top 10 player behind.

LeBron didn't want to beat the Celtics. He wanted to beat the Celtics and everyone else. And he wanted to beat everyone else for 7 or 8 years.

That's why he was willing to take less than a max deal

Durant wants to beat everyone for as long as he can, just like LeBron....and if Durant didn't go to Golden State then Cleveland would be heavy favorites right now.

Bruh, LeBron James took less than the max because he wanted a ring that bad. Mike Conley level players get max contracts

Superstars taking less than the max goes against capitalism and in the business world it's highly frowned upon and its actually considered unethical

Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio
Do you give bosh, LeBron and wade asterisks on their title for taking paycuts to manipulate the salary cap for easy championships?

Not at all. But assuming Durant rangs in GS a couple times, people are going to rush to put him in the top 15-20. Meanwhile, David Robinson took an L to Hakeem in 1995 (which isn't as bad or is at worst on par with blowing a 3-1 lead like Durant did) and then won 2 titles as a secondary guy. Yet when people compile lists of best players ever, he's consistently bushed. I'm saying if Durant avoids the stigma, then Admiral needs his spot on the list readjusted.

boston was kicking wade and lebrons ass for years in the playoffs. they joined to beat them. thats why when they beat them LeCry was bauling his eyes out on the court with wade.

it Kevin Durant played a normal Kevin Durant game the thunder would have won. dude shot like 16 of 60 games 5 and 6 on 5+ turnovers .always weird that people bring up lebron comparison. lebron went all out in Cleveland

I completely understand all that

But at the end of the day, they both wanted the easiest championship possible and that's really all there is to it for me.

Durant joined a team that beat him.
LeBron took less money than inferior players so he could have 2 stars on his team and steamroll through the league

boston was kicking wade and lebrons ass for years in the playoffs. they joined to beat them. thats why when they beat them LeCry was bauling his eyes out on the court with wade.

But they took less money than they were worth and eligible for so they could add bosh

Why?

Miami was trash the year before Lebron and Bosh got there and they didn't even win a ring there first year together.

While Durant lost in a game 7 western conference finals to Golden st to only join said team who had already won an NBA championship two season ago.

In other words, Lebron didn't join a team that just won a championship. While Durant joined a team who still had there full championship roster in tact.

There is an obvious difference.

Paulie is speaking truth here. Kevin's Durant is a soft ass ho. It is what it is :ehh:
