:youngsabo: I think people get it confused as if I am saying Jordan wasn't athletic as a mother...of course he was but I bet you if you tested them both in combine events Pippen would most like win more of the events, except maybe the vertical jump- MJ prolly got him there
Yep

I honestly never saw any player that could dribble the ball full length of the court faster than Pippen until AI and Jason Williams (white) came along. Maybe Kenny Anderson (Nets) when he was healthy

but the crazy shyt was this is a 6'7 cat moving the ball, the issue with Pip was he maybe Batman physically but mentally he was Robin....and that ok bc he was still a beast but I always thought the difference from being tier 1A and tier1B is mental

Scott was that cat in the 90's. He gets shytted on by people that dont know basketball. I still believe that in terms of "pure athleticism" Pippen>Jordan.
Jordan has that competitive monster in him that makes him the GOAT.

This. I remember in the 90s he actually got more respect than he does now because people were actually watching him play day in and day out.

IMO he has a claim to be regarded as the greatest SF of all-time. Bird doesn't factor into this debate because of his subpar defense. Its honestly between LeBron and Pippen for me.

And totally co-sign on the part about Pippen being more athletic than Jordan. I always felt that was the case but nobody ever wanted to say it.

:what: you trippin.Durant,Bird,Lebron,Grant Hill>>>>>>>>pippen.

Fukk outta here bringing that overrated cacs name. That cac don't even deserve to be mentioned.

Durant is only better at scoring than Pippen. I think Pippen is significantly better at everything else and brings more value.

Grant Hill is arguably more talented but he really didn't play long enough at an elite level for this comp to even be legitimate.

LeBron is the only guy who is arguably better than Pippen. And even then its close because Pippen is right there with LeBron at everything except scoring for which LeBron is significantly better.

100% co-sign. His biggest bytch move was begging Jordan to come back in 1995 when just a year earlier he was a top MVP candidate and led the Bulls to 55 wins a year after they won 57 games with Jordan.

If he had a more alpha mentality, he would have been recognized as a top 10 player in NBA history because he would have won rings without Jordan while putting up some filthy all-around numbers. But unfortunately, Pippen had a beta male mentality and instead preferred being Jordan's sidekick.

I fear Andrew Wiggins might be following Scottie Pippen in this way. He's a Batman physically but is mentally a Robin.

Anybody that watched during that time could see Jordan and Pippen were almost equal....

that's why it was so hard to beat them.....One or the other was going to beat you.

Jordan just had that nack for hitting "that" shot that would win the game to put him over the top...

man, when you play with the GOAT of the sport most of your career, you better learn to play the robin role. even if you got batman talent.

It's funny how people ignore the 95 season
the bulls were not contenders they were
34-31 without Jordan, Mj comes back after a year in a half of rust and they finish the season on a 13-4 run pip was great but people have been overrating the fukk out of him lately enough with that Jordan never won without him shyt while Jordan was dropping forty and getting busy on both ends pippen was choking and talking bout his migraines hurt, mj was ready from day one it just took pip and grant stepping their games up to finally get over the hump....when it comes to small forwards pip is in the 5-10 range

6-9 are interchangeable

1) bron
2) bird
3) Kd
4) Dr j
5) Rick Barry
6) Hondo
7) Baylor
8) Nique
9) Pip

I didnt see Magic's prime. Never saw Mo Cheeks. Isiah didnt seem all that fast when i saw him either. Pippen was faster than Mj leading the break and its not even close.

I always tell you guys i almost never comment on players i didnt see play and i would suggest yall do the same out of respect for these older players we didnt see play

100% truth. That is why I always try to limit by best ever lists to guys I actually watched. Its difficult to know who was good or not good if you never watched them play.
