this is revisionist bullshyt. Scottie was a great player, but he wasn't ever gonna be a 25+ scorer. at his peak he was gonna be a 22/8/5. which is about what he did with Jordan, minus a point or 2.

He was a 22 9 and 6 guy during Jordan's first "retirement," finished 3rd in MVP voting and led them to 55 wins--they won 57 the year before with Jordan. Even without Jordan if they would've added 1 star with Pippen as the alpha they most likely would've won a chip, might've gotten a few.

My absolute favorite player growing up. I was so happy when Jordan retired because i felt like finally my dude Pippen will get to show the world he aint just some random Robin type

The only issue with Pippen was that he wasn't a beat you off the dribble and create offense/scoring player unlike Nique and others at the 3. He was good at almost everything...his defense was pure greatness.
