And Jordan wasn't?

I started watching basketball regularly during that second 3peat and I viewed Pippen as being on the same level as Jordan.

Pippen became injury prone and was declining. The bulls were gonna trade him to boston for the #3 & # 6 picks in the '97 draft then for tracy mcgrady.Jordan blocked both deals

He was never on the same level as jordan, that's ridiculous.Jordan was still scoring 40-50 points in the playoffs the last 3 peat

Pippen was no where as good as MJ at anything. If Pippen had to shoulder MJ's scoring load he wouldn't be as good defensively and still MJ was has good defensively. Pippen lacked the intangibles that made MJ so great
Pippen is arguably the GOAT defender, is Jordan considered that?

Not close to what Pippen was experiencing.

MJ was still a 30/6/4 player with elite defense at the time. By '98, MJ was falling off but Pippen wasn't close to even his '96 form.

Just remember, you're putting Scottie on the level of Kobe as well. But...he's not a top 10 player by any means.

Your stance is based on a hypothetical, Pippen was a lockdown defender and still scored double digits. Whenever Pippen gets praised you insecure Jordan stans take it as a shot at MJ.
Pippen was great in his own right but stop trying to overrate him, now do like:mj:and beat it

For reference, my top 5 players in the 2000s are:
1. Kobe
2. Shaq
3. Duncan
4. Garnett
5. Dirk

T-Mac and D-Wade would have just missed the cut at #6 and #7. And I consider LeBron more of a 2010s player than a 2000s player because that is the decade he had more success in.
How you consider Wade a 2000's player but not Bron if they were drafted in the same year?

Wade is nearly 3 years older than LeBron. He had his best years in the 2000s. He actually won a ring in the 2000s while LeBron won zero rings. And by the time the 2010s hit the dude fell off in a major way. Thus it makes sense for him to be counted as a 2000s player.

Compare that to LeBron who had his best years and most success in the 2010s. Bron in the 2000s would not rate very high while in the 2010s he's the unanimous #1 player.

It's not revisionist history, there was a lot of talk about Pippen being the 2nd best player in the league behind MJ at the time. You can disagree all u want, I'm just tellin u what cats was sayin and I'd tend to agree, outside of Hakeem

I HATE Pippen, but yall dudes tripping. I don't believe I debated oh his behalf. :scust:

A shame we never got to see him with his own team for an extended period of time.

I don't know if we needed to tho, he led the Bulls to 55 Wins and almost won MVP that year and then an old Pip was the straw that stirred the drink in Portland taking the Lakers to 7. He was a special player.
