I just wish he was a little bigger, it would give him more defensive flexibility, and maybe the ability to over-power some wings. As is... he's just a 6'6 small forward, who's got some bounce, but only an average defender, and can't guard bigger 3's or smaller 4's. Not a huge problem, I just wish he was a little bigger. There's no real "plus" that he brings to the table.
I like what I'm seeing from him, I don't mean to be negative...
Hey
@I.V. share those notes. Especially on Ndour
NDour Is a long, rangy forward. He has decent instincts with the ball, and he definitely is playing hard. He's another guy who is a little light in the ass. I'm nervous he's too light to be a solid rebounder at the next level, but he has good fundamentals, boxes out and chases boards. He has a long ass wingspan too. 7'4, which helps. If he's a big at the end of your bench, you could do worse. I could see him getting some backup minutes, he does a lot of the same things guys like Amundson and Jason Smith did, he can shoot. He shot 2 3's a game last season, and hit more than 43% of them. He's also shown a decent use of fakes, drive left, throw up a fake hook, spin back and finish. He's ALSO shown a step back.
Don't know that Ndour is a Clarence Gains guy, but I actually trust him and some of the Knick scouting staff's ability to find a rotation player from the trash heap. They did it with Galloway (though I'm not a huge fan)... maybe they did it again with Ndour? He did not play well in Portsmouth, which definitely helped us out, because that's usually where late-draft bigs get spotted.
Who else? Summer League got me feeling refreshed. This is what hope is, y'all.
