Knicks are not moving Melo......the Afflalo & Williams signings are low risk, high reward situations.

And NOBODY expected the Knicks to be contenders in 1 off season. Phil did a very good job with the cap that we had & with who was available. Gasol & Aldridge were not coming here. They both gave signs of that during the season

I don't know why it's so hard for dudes to grasp that. I don't know what they were expecting with this off-season. Phil said from the jump it would be a 2 off-season process.

The Knicks gotta prove they have a Team and system that worth joining, that allure of the garden and Ny ish doesn't work. One of the reasons I was against tanking was I knew it would keep the rhetoric of tbe Knicks being a circus going, But in the same breath I believe tanking and drafting Kristap is going to help us big season after next.

Motivated Melo and decent pieces can get us back in the playoffs next season. We build off that going into next year off-season. Plus Phil still cooking, it's only july.

We have summer league this week, So we get to see what we working with a lil wit the young boys, I watched a couple games of Laybrie, I liked what I saw he got a lil 15-18 ft shot and he's athletic. I'm excited to see him ball in SL. I think he's going to make the team this year. Early needs to contribute something this season, so hopefully we see some improvement in his game.

I liked the moves made, and I know it's still more to come...Patience is a virtue!

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Ehh monroes offensive talent >>> good defensive talent

Nah, the Pistons were pretty bad with him on defense, you need + defenders around him to make up for it which the Bucks have and the Knicks don't have.

Getting a defensive center was a good move for the Knicks, Monroe would have been great for offense but his defense is suspect. When it comes to centers, you either want them to be two way guys or very good on defense, just being offensive is :ld:

the only thing I'm disappointed about is these two didn't even take a meeting with Phil which I find very disrespectful to him, our organization and our city, I know our team and our owner sucks but Phil is one of the greatest basketball "guys" ever, he deserved atleast a sit-down.

Nobody owes us shyt. Y'all shyt on James Dolan for being an arrogant prick, but turn around and approach situations with the same boneheaded arrogance.

I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but I honestly feel we should of taken a chance at Rondo for that same 10mil deal, I know he would be terrible in the triangle, but they should of said fukk it to the Triangle and grabbed him and Jordan. rondo, afflalo, melo, kristip and Jordan sounds like a top 4 team in the East to be honest.

No. No. No. It's like our fans seemed to forget that moves like this are exactly why we have fukkn sucked for a decade.

Stop throwing caution into the wind.

Stop bringing in guys with ego and terrible team chemistry.

It's like y'all don't realize the key to building successful teams.

honestly brehs really looking at Phil's roster moves of acquiring Afflalo and D.Williams. Those contracts are the exact kind of contract you want to have on the roster if you were thinking your going to move Melo later in the season

Melo has a no trade clause. This only sounds smart in your mind because you probably think it's a good idea to move Melo. Don't conflate the two….

I like these kind of "low-key" signings. We don't need the big names and hoopla right now, we've been that route and look where it lead us. We need to build a system, get some continuity and establish some kind of identity. These players we got I believe can help do that without the pressure of us acting liking we're gonna make noise in the playoffs. Small steps is what will get us moving forward.

Yeah those are great trade pieces. I'm not even caught up on the knicks not getting a star player or being a contender. Just look at the make up of the team and outside of a RoLo's at market deal Phil added 2 guys with extremely movable contracts. Either or both those deals would be great filler in trades.

Yeah even though I would have preferred a trio of Green, Biyombo, and Affallo I am happy with the contracts Jackson doled out because they are so easily movable. And most importantly internal organization pride wont stop the Knicks from moving them, that would not have been the case with Monroe. I actually like the prospects in the 2016 and 2017 draft so when Melo is hopefully/finally traded I hope we can get picks that are relatively high.

Yeah its my opinion. I'm not Isola talking about shyt is a guarantee.

Also I'm not one of those conspiracy guys talking about Phil is trying to force Melo out of town, and I'm not against Melo staying either.

What I'm saying is if Phil was really trying to do a slow build through FA why would he get 2 guys on short deals that will opt out if they play well?

If the knicks plan to keep them they will then eat into the knicks cap space next years when they opt out to get a raise. If they decide to leave to just go to another team the knicks need to find players all over again to replace them. If they suck and stay those deals are hard to swallow either.

In the era of the cap raise where every year the minimum goes up those two contracts are basically expiring.
