Yes or no, simple question, don't try to skirt around the answer.

If you dont have a shot at winning a title, as an organization you're better served at being in the lottery than it is losing in the playoffs.

Again, so you're saying if not your a top 3 seed in your conference, your season is a waste, and you should tank? FOH

It depends..if you have a Anthony Davis type player you know you can build around making the playoffs can help in the long run

If you're an old team like the Knicks where most of the roster is gone next year and you need more elite talent making the playoffs means nothing

The Spurs are also an oddity because they let the coach and GM run things and not the players. More organizations could operate like that...but this league is run by the players.

No they're asking you to look at the big picture..Competing for the last playoff spot is not gonna do anything for the long term benefit of the franchise..

This is a bad team and there are no saviors available in free agency..best case scenario you get a Gasol or Rondo neither of those players will make you a contender..

But if you get a high pick and get a great young player or at the very least use it as an asset like when the Celtics got Ray Allen now you're going somewhere
I disagree I think gasol a known talent could make us a contender . Young talent can be trash . Im not saying the draft can't help but I'm not sold on it

Bullsh*t and you know it. Playoffs are all about match-ups, so the year Dallas was the 1 seed & bumped off by GS, GS should have tanked because they had no shot to win a title, according to your (tanking) logic. So everyone should concede to the 4 teams who are favored to win a title. I can't get behind that beta male type of thinking.

but what if he doesn't come? that another reason to tank, this draft is full of great Bigs and the triangle needs them. Even if Marc does come, who would be the second big to run the triangle with him? that the knicks could afford with the 10- 12 million they might have in space (if they move JR)?

i am not even going to do hypotheticals the knicks aren't built for the playoffs, especially if its against the teams that will be higher seeds.

So instead of potentially getting a star player who could help a team built to win it all next year, we as the fans are suppose to root for the knicks to ge tby enough to sneak into the playoffs with a roster that will be scrapped this off season? Why? i don't understand it. I rather chill, let the knicks "figure out the triangle" and hope they keep Melo (and maybe shump) healthy. I mean shyt the knicks have always refused to tank and look where that got them?

Please note: half of the tank supporters are not Knick fans.....

You think they are looking out for our best interests?

:wtf:
:what:What does this even mean? We're here discussing basketball on a sports forum, not making executive decisions for the team. Jumping on a tank bandwagon on this site isn't going to effect the outcome of the organizations strategy.

What good did beating the Mavs do for the Warriors? You realize the Warriors lost enough games to land a star in Curry though? The Knicks havent had a stud draft pick since Ewing for god sakes.

And the Warriors were 1 pick ahead of the Knicks (Knicks probably lost more games the GS that year)

If fukking Minny didn't cockblock, Curry would have been a NYK

Ferguson protestors should trust and take advice and tips from the FPD and STLPD?
