I agree... I just don't think that point is 14 games into an 83 game seasonThere comes a point in where you just have to accept it.

When you brehs support tanking....what are you hoping for?
1) Players missing shots on purpose, not playing defense, pretending to be injured, and turning the ball over on purpose? (Wouldn't this affect future contract negotiations? Since it would seem like they suck as players?)
2) You want Derrick Fisher to make bad coaching decisions? Bad rotations? Bad play-calling? (Wouldn't this likely ruin Fishers future coaching career, if he shows incompetence?)
3) You want Phil Jackson to provide bad personnel? (Embarrass himself and the franchise for a year in an effort to throw the weight and future of the Knicks on the shoulders of an 18-20 year old rookie). Like Philly?
Tanking is easier in theory than in practice.
It takes collusion throughout the organization AND for grown men to sacrifice their career and reputations in order for a young kid to come in, take YOUR minutes, get mega-paid, and get all of the credit for franchise success.
Whose willing to make that sacrifice? The players? Fisher? I don't think so. That leaves Phil Jackson trying to sabotage the team through garbage personnel. Not sure if thats happening either.
If we lose, it won't be because of tanking. We just aren't good at this point. We are not losing on purpose.
Self-interest makes tanking unlikely. Who's playing themselves out of a job?

So...who are bringing in to act like the Washington Generals (and for this to be their last year getting paid in the NBA?)Trade whatever you can out.
Full tank mode is necessary this season. Melo already got paid, save yourself for next season. Get "injured" and let JR Smith be the "Star" until the trade deadline
but what's the alternative?See how you only mentioned a few teams ? It's not a guarantee of success. You might think tanking is a great option but it's pointed out a few times its not a guarantee

So Melo should pull a Steve Nash.....just sit out, collect his money, instead of developing his game even further and learning the triangle?as long as fisher doesn't run Melo into the ground to get wins the more likely the knicks won't get wins. I am still pretty sure JR is gone for expirings for cap reasons..... but this roster is already failing.
The fukk does Melo need to "develop" his game for? Learn the triangle by watching tape...the team will be completely different next season anyway. So Melo should pull a Steve Nash.....just sit out, collect his money, instead of developing his game even further and learning the triangle?
