I love these long-winded posts that cherry pick stats and situations trying to argue that players like JR and Bernyarny arent terrible at basketball. If you listen to these people, every player on the Knicks is at least above average and it's a complete mystery why we've been losing games for over a season

You can laugh but you have nothing to back this empty rhetoric up. That's why you're laughing instead of presenting a logical argument. 53.8% TS, top 30 all time in 3pt makes, solid defense, rebounding, and passing is far from "terrible". As for Bargs, 53.3% TS, 91 percentile defense, good passing, and production off the bench nearly identical to Taj Gibson, even after coming off of an injury is far from "terrible".

melo definitely struggled these last two games but the knicks haven't been finding him enough in the triangle, especially in the first quarter. just like kobe and jordan you have be intentional in getting the ball to your best player in the triangle.

Of course the league wanted NY to miss the Playoffs. The refs eliminated NY in the Pacers series 2 seasons ago. A healthy NY was a horrible matchup for Miami both seasons. Despite the fact that BK swept Miami last season, they didn't beat them in convincing fashion like NY did, and I predicted that Miami would make short work of those old-timers. Woodson was trash, the team struggled early with key players coming off of injury, many others went down later (only 4 players missed less than 16 games), and the cheating from refs all contributed to them being 1 measly game out of the Playoffs last season. Yup, they're trash.

Defensive rating is useless. Lj had a decent one for a number of years and he's always been putrid on d, so make another assumption.

Last season, Bargs held players to 48.3% shooting at the rim. That's better than Tyson Chandler (51.5%), Kenyon Martin (49.1%), and Sam (52%). Bargs is a rim protector who will block you multiple times per possession if you try to just walk up to the rim when he's playing Center (see the 0:59 mark of the this video for an example):

You can dismiss stats when it's convenient for you 'til times get better; it won't change the fact that they're more reliable than a screen shot of individual plays. Notice how I didn't use my video the way you used your screen shot. I used mine to illustrate a play and used stats to illustrate a season. You have nada to back up your claims of Bargs actual seasons on defense (not individual plays). You the type of dude who will use Lj's blocks in a screen shot to say he's a good defender . Your logic is like showing me a highlight of 'Melo having poor shooting nights and poor rebounding nights and then saying, “see, he can't shoot or rebound”, regardless of the stats that say he averaged 27.4 on 45.2% and 8rpg. If you're not gonna post all the full games he played, so we can count how many of them he had as bad defensive nights, then...

Thanks for contradicting yourself by pointing out Barg's putrid help d while neglecting to condemn those players on your screen shots that failed to help when Bargs got beaten. Fact is, it's a players responsibility to stay in front of their own man. When you don't, you make other players have to to leave the man they have been told to keep from scoring. Bargs keeps his man in front of him more than most players in the league. Unless you wanna argue that most players are in the 91st percentile on d.
