I said it when they hired him and I'll say it again.

Fisher is the perfect coach for THIS team, THIS city, and THIS offensive system.

In addition to his knowledge of the triangle, he's tough, he has the respect of the players on his team (and the whole league), rings, and all of the qualities that defined J Kidd minus the off-the-court antics.

We are playing PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL. Not SSOL, or Woody and the ISOs, but professional basketball. Man, when I saw Acy, Jason Smith, and Cole Aldrich get all those minutes against Cleveland I was shocked. We never give minutes to guys that work hard and and play defense.

As for Bargs, people need to realize it's not a talent thing with him. He has all the tools to contribute big time especially in this triangle setup. Clearly it's a mental toughness and possible locker room chemistry issue.

I would be OK if he never returns, and I have a feeling the Knicks coaching staff feel the same way. Too much babying and team disruption for "a once every two weeks he shows up" player.

team is looking good. they're figuring out the triangle slowly but surely. it's funny how even though the knicks triangle is sloppy the offense still looks 10x better than it did under woody. the spacing is better, player movement is better, shot selection is better for the most part. melo and stat are playing well together because the triangle offers natural spacing. and i like how melo still gets opportunities to go iso in key situations.

fisher needs to figure out the rotation ASAP though so the players can start getting some chemistry together.

larkin and acy are good with me. both hustle guys. and larkin is a lot better on D than i thought he'd be.

shump is playing hard and playing well :jawalrus:

jr is lost most of the time but he's playing decent on defense and hitting some big shots.

tim, i hate it had to be him :scust:

fisher also needs to get his suit game up. this is NYC... keep those awkward shiny suits for LA.

it's gonna be an up and down season... i just hope everyone stays healthy, especially heading into the playoffs.

Yeah they look like a bunch of professionals zoned into the game. Last season everytime they would pan the cameras on the benchs players were telling jokes and goofing off regardless if they were up or not. This year they seem more serious on and off the court. I guess attitude reflects leadership and coaching.:ehh:

knicks are gonna win 10-15 more games just on the strength of dropping woody and picking up phil and d fish.

anyone gm in the league including phil would trade gibson for bargs
u can watch them both play for 5 minutes and tell whos better
the fact that you are even comparing gibson to someone who was the #1 pick in the draft and was supposed to be a franchise player is proving my point

you're buggin at this point taj is way better than bargs. taj is a beast inside 15 feet and bargs cant even stay on the court. dude came in shape for the first preseason game and has been hurt ever since :russ:

I truly cannot wait until Bargs is expired.

However, Stat..brehs...he needs to be signed for 7-10 a year to come off the bench brehs.

I know. ..I know...but as a bench role player, he's productive and we will have trouble trying to find additional role players while trying to concentrate on improving our starting line up (scouting will be resourced to Marc Gasol, LMA, and other potential starters.)

Melo seems to really like JR and Phil thinks he's Dennis Rodman 1.5. I really don't think he's going anywhere unless he really does something really egregious.

I hate that Jose is injured by I love that it has created an opportunity for Larkin to show his potential. I'm very happy with him.

Shump... you're still mediocre as HELL.... but I love that atleast you're consistent. lol Keep it up.

I've already expressed that I'm very happy with Dalembert... he's not Shaq... but he seems like the textbook example of Serviceable.

Jason Smith... stop being hesitant with your midrange... and pay some fukking defense!

Cleanthony... see you next year I guess.

As if Amare hasnt robbed the Knicks enough these past 5 years and ypu want to give him 10M next year
I know I'm going to get flak for it.

And I am probably speaking from anow emotional place but...

How much is a very productive role player going to be worth considering the new TV deal and higher cap?

How much do you think Stat should make next year, on any team?

I'm thinking about it, had he really robbed the knicks? It did Previous knicks management basically dtop 100 mill on his lap?

He had actually twitted putting 110% in.

One of president Phil Jackson’s big decisions this season is whether to trade J.R. Smith, and the club had recent conversations with the Pacers regarding ex-Knick Chris Copeland, according to a league source.

The 6-foot-9 Copeland, whom the Pacers signed in July 2013, has an expiring contract after bolting the Knicks for a two-year, $6 million deal, so he wouldn’t affect their 2015 cap space.

Smith, meanwhile, can opt out of the $6.4 million he has coming in 2015-16, but there’s still a chance he will wait to be a free agent until 2016 when the salary cap is expected to rise dramatically. The Knicks are trying to open up as much cap space as possible and would benefit if Smith opts out or if they trade him for an expiring contract.
