I guess you would consider Taj trash then? Bargs' stats last season are nearly identical to Taj's.

anyone gm in the league including phil would trade gibson for bargs
u can watch them both play for 5 minutes and tell whos better
the fact that you are even comparing gibson to someone who was the #1 pick in the draft and was supposed to be a franchise player is proving my point

It can't prove your point when Barg's numbers were lower than normal (meaning when he's not injured) because he's on a team that already has 2 franchise players. Randomly claiming you know what's in Phil's head doesn't undermine the fact that their stats were similar. If Phil is the winner he is, he will take anyone that produces. Moreover, Taj hasn't done any better at staying healthy throughout his career than Bargs has.

Him not playing like a franchise player doesn't undermine the fact that he's played solid when healthy. That's like saying Taj would be a scrub if Chicago had thought he was a franchise player. When healthy, Bargs has shot the ball well from 2 and from 3 and has played solid defense.

Wally hit on something in the post game, and this is all I wanted to see out of this year's team - they look more like a poised team, taking the right shots, getting rugged on D, making the extra pass (although we didn't run the clock out at the end of the 1st 3 quarters), and we're not overworking Melo...which is what Fish mentioned in the post presser, saying that having him with enough energy at the end of the game is key for him to be clutch again.

Yeah they look like a bunch of professionals zoned into the game. Last season everytime they would pan the cameras on the benchs players were telling jokes and goofing off regardless if they were up or not. This year they seem more serious on and off the court. I guess attitude reflects leadership and coaching.:ehh:
