Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
It’s sad and a lot of people can see how y’all Philly heads feel. And it’s not like this is some destitute neglected city buried in the Deep South. It’s one the damn northeast corridor so in theory it should be “thriving”, not feel like it’s Baltimore North.

but as a Philly head, what has been going on the past 10-15 years because these issues don’t pop up out of nowhere?

Philly is a weird cause despite the crime I feel like the city is trying to be grow into another northeast power soon.

What’s this urge of car jacking? People say young kids are doing for fun but is it really for fun when you point a gun and actually shoot an innocent victim?

Rumors in the streets is that the Asians in Southwest Philly and organizations in Delaware offering up to 10k for certain cars

City is done for, I can’t wait to get the fukk outta here man.

Bro this is what they want. They can't get the blacks and Spanish out so they letting them kill themselves running rampant so people can leave.

Y’all can blame decades of interference by CACS, pigs, government, and intelligence agencies.

Not the people who were born into it.

I been reading the paper from 1960 I am on 1970 and this shyt been ongoing since the 50s 60s. This city is truly not for blacks at all.

Philly is a weird cause despite the crime I feel like the city is trying to be grow into another northeast power soon.

It has crooked leadership for decades.

Just saw an article for car jackings so it tripled last year and this year its already going to outpace that

there’s already been 100 car jackings this month and it isn’t even over yet

Carjackings In Philadelphia Have Nearly Tripled Since 2019; More Than 100 Already In 2022 – CBS Philly

Carjackings in Philadelphia have nearly tripled since 2019. Police officials say the rising number is troubling, particularly in the cold winter months where there’s usually a decrease in that type of crime.

It’s an alarming trend where would-be victims are fighting back. In one instance, shooting and killing a suspect attempting to carjack them.

Police promise to continue deploying officers to pinpoint locations where carjackings have increased substantially, while Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw says to be mindful of your surroundings.

“Carjackers have been utilizing a pump and run, where they initiate the carjacking by tapping your vehicle with their vehicle,” Outlaw said.

If that happens, you want to make sure to get to a location that has sufficient lighting. You can call 911 or drive to the nearest police station. Police officials say delivery drivers have also become targets.

“We believe they set those food deliveries up and when that person arrives, that’s the car they’re gonna take. We also know it’s not one type of car, it’s the full gamut of vehicles,” Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Ben Naish said.

Police statistics show between 2010-2019, there was an average of 230 carjackings each year in the city. The number jumped to 409 in 2020 and topped off with 757 in 2021.

So far this year, there have been over 100 carjackings and we’re still in the month of January.

Another worry, of the 226 illegal guns recovered so far this year, 21 have been ghost guns — some of which police say were involved in carjackings.

“Beware of your surroundings, suspicious persons or vehicles, and trust your instincts. I encourage all drivers to keep their phones on their person in case an emergency arises. And please do not get involved in an altercation with these suspects. Your life is far more important than your vehicle so be a good witness,” Outlaw said.

While responding to the increased number of carjackings, Commissioner Outlaw says the department is also addressing ongoing staffing shortages and bolstering their detective unit.

Delivery Driver Shoots Would-Be Carjacker in Kensington, Police Say

A pizza delivery driver turned the tables on a would-be carjacker in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood, shooting and critically wounding the suspect, police said.

The 39-year-old man was delivering food on the 3300 block of H Street Thursday night when a 35-year-old suspect walked up to him, pointed a gun at him and told him to give up his car, according to investigators.

The delivery driver then pulled out his own weapon and opened fire, shooting the suspect multiple times.

The suspect was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. The delivery driver was not hurt.

Nearly two weeks ago a legally armed man shot a teenager who tried to rob him at gunpoint.

In early January, a legally armed Lyft driver shot and critically injured two suspects who carjacked him in Philadelphia.

all these former shyt holes in major cities are salivating for a change of demographics before they support redevelopment and transform the cities. whoever don't see it is running on borrowed time.
It's happening heavy in New Orleans. Lower 9th is the poster child. City will be a popping tourist destination spot year round soon not just for Mardi Gras and football games. In 5 years place will be totally different!

You're right about people in denial, though. I think some of it is government funded. I couldn't prove it of course. :wow:
