Sounds like he's making a pitch to consumers abou the benefits of purchasing games on Xbox where they only have to buy it once and can play it cross platform. This has been a complaint for years from folks who buy a game like 2K, fifa, Destiny, Cod, etc and want to play with friends on another system. Folks also want content/progress to carryover cross platform to avoid the grind.

It's an issue that's somewhat been alleviated by crossplay, but it's a legit consumer issue.

Studios were purchased to secure content for Gamepass which is available on a multitude of different platforms.

You don’t even need gaming hardware to play them. Pretty much anyone on earth can access the games without a specific hardware purchase.

PlayStation and Nintendo fans can still play future Bethesda titles, they already have a phone; PC, and or streaming device(FireTV, Droid box, etc).
