Turning a 300 page children's book into a trilogy (9+ hours total) of films :scust:

Hollywood greed. That shyt should have been one movie. Maybe two - ie the second would be the big battle. I still haven't seen these movies and won't anytime soon due to the fukkery.

Gotta feel bad for Jackson on one hand, but on the other hand he's the one who was on board with Del Toro making this shyt into a trilogy. That decision (turning it into 3 movies) is simply ridiculous money grubbing bullshyt.

but yet your bashing?

I liked the hobbit movies :yeshrug: Read the book when i was a kid. Idk why they get so much hate from fanboys
Because the Rankin/Bass cartoon from the 70s took an hour and 20 minutes to more successfully tell a story that The Hobbit Trilogy took almost 9 hours to do.

I remember watching the third one on a plane ride and that shyt made me want to find the nearest exit. Hope they reboot it into one film with a director that actually knows what hes doing.

I give her the benefit of the doubt on being able to expand that story and universe. She obviously misses it because she is always talking about it

She need to quit fukking around and give us that Marauders prequel trilogy we've been wanting..

Moony, Padfoot, and Prongs with Scabbers and Snape's ole hating ass in the cut:blessed:

Only saw the first one, and it was :trash:

One of the most disappointing movies I've ever sat through, and it represents everything wrong with movies today.

Based on the revelations of the last few books when it comes to Snape and James and Lilly, that would either be a really good idea or a meh one. I'm not sure yet. It would be a cool thing to explore how much of a jerk James was though, especially in contrast to Harry

I don't think James was necessarily a "jerk" and Lilly wouldn't have fallen in love with him if he truly was one. James was a jock, your quintessential popular boy who had a streak of arrogance but was a good person underneath it all. Sirius even told Harry "They started dating in Seventh Year when James matured a bit" (paraphrasing).

No man who is willing to fight death eaters and sacrifices himself to the most evil wizard whoever lived so that his wife and child can get away is truly a jerk:wow:

I'm telling y'all a Marauders trilogy chronicling the 5th, 6th, and 7th year of James, Snape, Lilly, Sirius and Lupin; with an in his prime Dumbledor as Headmaster would be pifferry :banderas:

He was a jerk breh...eventually he grew up but I'm saying initially in his early years, he was a jerk. And I'm saying that as someone who could be a bit of a jerk when i was a teenager. I know that whole popular boy with a streak of arrogance thing really well lol but that doesn't excuse some of the shyt he did and the shyt he did to Snape. Snape had some of it coming but a lot of it he didn't. Harry fought to keep those same things under wraps

Not even really arguing to the contrast, he definitely had a mean streak when it came to Snape, but I also don't think that was his entire character. Many people who knew him spoke very highly of James, which made Harry's shock and disgust at the way he treated Snape all the more impactful. But I also (choose to think in my imagination) believe that wasn't the ENTIRE aspects of James's early personality and I'd really like to see all of their early lives fleshed out.

It also probably doesn't help that I've never been a Snape sympathizer lol. Dude was a creepy, stalking, Super Simp who was on some Vadar shyt and couldn't let go of a crush he was never going to get....

Oh I'm not a snape sympathizer but I think he's one of the best characters in the books because he truly was ride or die. For harry, for lilly, for dumbledore...and he gave his life for what he believed in and I always admire that. I'm not saying James wasn't a good dude but I think it makes for a good story or good movie to explore the not so admirable qualities of your main character and since James didn't always come off as a saint, there's no need to shy away from that. People are complex, and sometimes it's tough for that complexity to shine through. He can be both a jerk and a good dude with a good heart. Just like Snape could be both an annoying twit but the most loyal dude on the planet
