She asks for 100k for this "holy stone" and you need to buy that in order to start her confidant link. I had 130k left over from the 3rd palace so I said fukk it, thinking the game wouldn't really charge me for it.
She took the money, gave me the stone...and it turned out to be nothing but rock salt
I get back at her the next available night, she's scamming someone else with the same story, but now you have a mission to go into Momentos to prove her wrong to the lady she was talking to

I put it on the easiest setting to circumvent this very scenario.....not knowing you can't change it back.

fukk, the 1st palace boss was fukkING ANNOYIN' on Merciless.
Died like a milion times even though I was LVL 10. I ended up fusing a Slime that was LVL 11 and had Sukunda, Rakukaja and another buff/debuff. Took a few times but damn those debuffs come in handy on this difficulty. I kept dying around the part where an ally has to get to the treasure to knock it off.
Saved the shyt out the game since. fukk that was hard. That first shyt is always the hardest.

I'm 71 hours into this game and I've got this one the next one and whatever of mementos left. I'm guessing I've got about 20% of the game left. It says I'm 1/5 into this palace. I just can't get over how long a normal playthrough of this game is. It must be in the 80-90 hour range to complete a regular playthrough. I'm also having to give up an many of the social links with 2 in game months left or so.
