I guess I don't know all that much about 1930's LA, but were female "Radio Evangelists" a really big thing back then?
From the previews, it looks like both this and "City of Angels: Penny Dreadful" seem to have characters based on that concept. Is that idea based on someone in the real world from back then?
Seems like both characters are based on Aime Semple McPherson. At least that's what Sepinwall said in his review.
