People claim that no one shops at the mall anymore but I went to the mall today and it was packed

the iphone,...that is one new item foo foo.

please do not tell me about jordans, either.
when if you were from the chi.
You would know wtf to do, if you wanted them for real for real.
plus jordans were not the only hot shoe like now.
they had numerous sellout lines or limited shoes.
that had high shelf price then, As well.

the internet only popular cause people broke as fukk.
they do not own a terminal in houses still.

only reason why you don't think it is a recession.
is people have ebt cards. Which was created to eliminate the visual of people waiting in lines for aid.

the whole world is poor right now.

if you from san fran. You either living well from the tech industry and an exception to the rule.
or you in poverty with crazy cost of living
.

Once again, people find the money to get things they feel they need. Hence the reason your weed man stays in business :mjlol:

Thing with many malls the rent is crazy, imagine paying like 5,000 a month in rent, then there is overhead staff salary etc. when most malls are dead Mon to Friday, so that's literally like 6 days a month to make all those sales.

When if you have a online presence you can just have a big warehouse and ship across.

Look at asos/boohoo/fashionova no physical stores but they make a killing.

If forever 21 had that method they would still be around.

Malls as indoor general shopping centers are dying out. The ones that are surviving focus on a niche(outlet and/or luxury) and/or become indoor entertainment/medical/restaurant hubs.
This.

There used to be five malls where I grew up.

Three are completely shuttered and dead.

One is barely hanging on, only because it’s the only place in the actual city that has higher end stores and brands. I suspect it will go the way of the first three soon. It’s huge but in dire need of a reno, I doubt it will get it though.

Only one is thriving, because they made it more of a destination mall. They blew out the food court, expanded it, replaced all the typical food court shyt like Sbarro and Orange Julius with a sushi spot, a gourmet burger spot, an artesian bakery that sells that boba tea shyt.

Made it nice as fukk, sleek design with fireplaces and shyt. People really go just for that and end up walking around the mall and buying shyt.

Online sales only account for 11% of retail sales tho.

only will go higher, baby boomers are old fashion but they have the biggest purchasing power.

Millennials are more online shoppers, have paypal etc.

2 years ago i think i bought like ten things from amazon
last year i bought like 140
this year already i've made like 60 orders in less than months.

Even returns are easier online, I can buy from amazon if I don't like it I just go to my nearest post office drop it off and have my money back in a few days. I don't have to have the correct packaging and all that don't have to come up with some story and excuse, don't get stupid store credit and all that.

Example a few weeks ago my iphone was water damaged. I went to amazon and purchased a cheap ass android for like 150 got it same day :blessed:. Put my iphone in selica gel and like 4 days later it started working again. Kept the android phone for another week just incase my iphone would mess up again ti did not. Did a return for the android dropped it off at my post office and was refunded my money in 3 days.

If i went to walmart or a store to buy a cell phone I would have been stuck with it, returning it would have been a b*tch and a half

Not all malls are dying. There is a luxury/high-end mall near me that is going through a multi-million dollar extension. The mall is already huge, but they are adding a Bloomingdales and more luxury stores to it.

Forever 21 is still around

both boohoo and Fashionnova have physical locations and we don’t know how profitable these businesses are

Went to one of the malls in my city to see if I could find a pair of running shoes because I just got a new pair of Air Jordan 6's from Flight Club so I didn't want to mess those up. Anyway I usually do most of my clothing and shoe shopping online but I wanted to go running today and didnt want to mess up my new Jordan's, so I decided to go out to the mall today. instead ofwaiting to have the shoes shipped to me So I went to the mall and it was extremely packed. It was probably mostly teens in there. I swear if you came to my city you would think there no Mexicans, living here because it seems like the only time you see any Mexicans is at Walmart, working at McDonald's or at Construction sites, but there were a lot of Mexicans shopping at the mall today. They say America's malls are dying but you would think they're full of it , if you went to the mall I was st today. But I do remember reading an article that was saying members of Generation Z are more likely to do their shopping at the mall then online compared to Millennials who do most of their shopping online.
Which 6s you got from Flight Club and how much they raped you for? Just bc people are out don’t mean they are spending money. I bet less than half or even 1/3 actually had bags in their hands.

men in general not even rep'd in the car market.
it ain't nuffin but mother carts on the road sir.
you never hear nobody with sounds either.
sometimes i would be the only one on the road with a car worth a damn.

back in the late nineties,....i had a luxury car and no rims and easily would have way more people with better shyt around everywhere.

now, people ask me about my car, and it don't be shyt in any parking lot.
