That’s funny because yesterday after I got off I had to run to Home Depot by River oaks mall in the area I was at and was talking to my girl saying the same exact thing...that mf was packed

and honestly I love to see it

Man but look how that area has declined since the 90s. The theatre, ultra, Sears, Target, Carsons all gone

It’s depressing to ride down Torrence and Lincoln highway and see what happened to our shopping areas

I remember waking up early on a Saturday with my grandma to go to river oaks. She’d get us clothes from Carson’s for church on Sunday...yall don’t know

Went to one of the malls in my city to see if I could find a pair of running shoes because I just got a new pair of Air Jordan 6's from Flight Club so I didn't want to mess those up. Anyway I usually do most of my clothing and shoe shopping online but I wanted to go running today and didnt want to mess up my new Jordan's, so I decided to go out to the mall today. instead ofwaiting to have the shoes shipped to me So I went to the mall and it was extremely packed. It was probably mostly teens in there. I swear if you came to my city you would think there no Mexicans, living here because it seems like the only time you see any Mexicans is at Walmart, working at McDonald's or at Construction sites, but there were a lot of Mexicans shopping at the mall today. They say America's malls are dying but you would think they're full of it , if you went to the mall I was st today. But I do remember reading an article that was saying members of Generation Z are more likely to do their shopping at the mall then online compared to Millennials who do most of their shopping online.

Most of them are dying out. There used to be alot more malls it seems. Or at least they used to plan alot more malls. Now it seems, if the mall isn't state of the art, or if it isn't a huge tourist draw, it usually isn't packed most days, if any. I seen plenty of dead malls. And I'd wander through pondering how they're making any money.

To add. It feels like the only planned shopping malls nowadays, are one's that provide the full tourist experience. Like that giant mall they're planning down in Miami that's gonna have a waterpark. For malls to be approved nowadays, they gotta have waterparks, miniature themeparks(along the lines of Discovery Zone) and other attractions like an aquarium or something. They not building malls, just to build malls anymore.
