Consoles never had games sweep the world into a craze like World of Warcraft, Counter Strike or League of Legends which are world wide phenoms

Posters in here used to argue Madden or Street Fighter was bigger than League of Legends when this forum first started, while Madden and Street fighter tournaments were being played in bingo halls or hotel conference rooms and winner got a years worth of Mountain Dew and $10,000 and League of Legends at the time was selling out the same arenas Beyonce sells out and having $10 million dollar pay days for the winners

Even over a decade ago I knew 90% of the console stans here are legitimately retarded

That was a percentage population of course it was bigger but console held the torch. This pc generation of gamers added are the folks who once game on consoles. My son is 15 his generation came up with PC due to GTA and the mass popularity of it on PC.

You have folks who didn’t think twice of pc gaming into pc gaming now. It’s guys making a killing building PCs for folks now

I think a lot of people are realizing that gaming is expensive hobby regardless of platform. Consoles aren't straightforward as they use to be, being more PC like while having a comparatively more restrictive experience. You get more long term investing in PCs and more people are switching.
