If the salary cap is going to increase ~$15-20M every year once the revenue from the tv deal kicks in in 2023, the Chiefs are going to be positioned well with this deal as long as Mahomes stays healthy

Andy Reid really is the best and worst coach for Mahomes.

They lost pro bowl caliber players. They trying to go the the cheap route. Never works out. Especially at LT.

I'm glad Mahomes got paid, but my rule is always once the QB gets his big contract, it becomes harder for the team to win the Super Bowl.

Plus at this point the talent difference I saw with Tampa and KC can not be made up. Tampa is the most talented team in the league right now and they might be adding more.

Bucs were stacked before Brady.

But yeah, Brady taking less to have a more complete team is the thing to do. There was a time when QB deals weren't so ridiculous, but the league did this to themselves.

They still have to fill out the roster after letting Fisher and Schwartz go. I'm sure they have a plan for both Tackle sports and possibly a Center.

Us Chiefs fans have been telling anybody that would listen that the line wasn't that great anyway and it's Mahomes ability to playmake on the run that made them look better. The difference is dropping from above average/average linemen to fringe NFL linemen that caused them to look so bad in the Super Bowl. Plus don't forget with the signings they are also getting Duvernay-Tardif back who sat the year out due to Covid.
