For the folks saying he shouldn't have signed this deal. You don't turn down the chance to be the highest paid player ever when it comes along. The man could have gotten injured in a freak injury the day before he signed his contract and never made a dime. Or he could have went into training camp suffered an injury and never gotten paid. Point blank is when given the opportunity to be paid more than anyone EVER you jump on that all day everyday.

I'm going to say this. Once the rest of the boys start wanting to get paid, it's going to be hard to win another Super Bowl. That's just how it is in the NFL. The quarterback cannot take all of the money, and expect to keep winning like he was. Now the owner will not pay the other players what they are worth. He just wants to put butts in the seats. Enjoy it KC fans. Seen it play out too many times......These dudes need to stop letting these agents fool them. Take a fair amount, and get your contract set up to keep your teammates happy around you, or else you walk.......He can make so much money off endorsements by just winning championships.

Fair amount :mjtf:. So you can get cut 2 years later cause the drafted a cheap replacement.:pachaha:. Players gots to get paid for their lifetime in like 10 years. Its not up to them to build a championship team.

TBH who cares of you don’t get a championship?:manny:. Play ball, have fun with teammates, f*#%k bad hhoes, make millions, travel and then ride off into the the sunset with The bag :salute:

He's already going to get paid off endorsements. I wouldn't be surprised if after his contract money he becomes a billionaire from his endorsement money. He wasn't going to be hurting for money. But his team will be hurting for talent. It might even affect his protection in the pocket.....Which could end up leading to him getting hurt anyway. This is football breh. It doesn't have anything to do with the money on the field. You need the talent around you. He's not winning by himself. But anyway, I've posted on this topic before, so I'm not trying to argue. Just stating my opinion. We'll see how it works out.

It's pure delusion coming from the people in here saying he shoulda held out for this and that
His contract reset the market...but this is still a very rigid market and he still wants to play with a semi-competitive level of talent around him

Even if he could've gotten some ridiculous amount more of guaranteed money, what would that be worth if the team was ass because of him and he's stuck there living with it? Think from HIS perspective :gucci:

As long as the chiefs have Andy Reid this isn’t going to matter

You do understand Andy has a hard time before this past year getting over the hump........
He went to 5 NFC title games with the Eagles and now 2 with the chiefs since he got Mahomes. only one team wins the bowl every year.

but that HC - QB duo ensures they’ll be in contention every year which is the most you can ask
