Just to follow up on this point. He literally reset the market for EVERY BLACK QB coming behind him. Deshaun and Lamar are getting PAID, even IF they're franchised, the franchised salary number is calculated based on the average of the top 5 paid players in that same position so Pat's contract will probably get them an extra 5-10 million annually than what they would've gotten last year.

Backload the deal - I'm sure they're anticipating the cap goes up/revenue sharing over the life of the contract. He'll still get paid as a high level contract but in 10 years the average annual value of the deal might not be too crazy.
