Allen's not a legitimate rival. He doesn't have a single thing over or tied with Mahomes...
Allen is still definitely one of the four best quarterbacks in football. Calling him a "rival" with an 0-4 record when it matters is too much...
And don't come with that "Josh always plays well" shyt. Josh contributed to the loss multiple times yesterday. He fumbled like 3 times. Almost threw 2 picks on the first drive that led to 3 & out, imagine how the game is different if he sets the tone right out the gate. Missed Shakir on 1st Down of that final drive, missed him by like 8 yards. Sailed other passes. On the 4th & shorts, he continued going left, just giving the Chiefs the fukking playbook...
We can put some blame on Brady and McDermott too but at what point does your "All-Time" quarterback win the game with the ball in his hands last versus this team? Audible the fukking sneak to push right...
So he's not a 'rival'. He's a great story, great player, but he helps lose the game every time...
Lamar has had two consecutive better regular seasons than Mahomes, he has more 1st Team All-Pros, tied in All-Pros overall, and maybe soon more MVPs...
Burrow went in Arrowhead and beat Mahomes, then the next year embarrassed Allen in Buffalo en route to pushing the Chiefs in the AFCCG loss. But he's the only active QB to beat Mahomes...
In 2 weeks Hurts will be the second active QB to beat Mahomes in the playoffs...
So Mahomes' rivals are Lamar, Burrow, and soon, Hurts. Allen isn't there...
