Just played POE for an hour for the first time. Died more times in that short time than in 40+ hours of DAV, Standard/Normal default lvl for both. This and my distaste for soulslike games has solidified my status as a casual-need-to-get-gud gamer. :mjcry:
Keep in mind, PoE 2 is hard even for ARPG vets so you should expect to die. A friend said he died 50 times in just Act 1.

This is the main diff from PoE to PoE 2. There are skill barriers to go along with level/gear barriers

PoE didn’t have skill checks until you get to map bosses.

So you saying 1 is generally harder than 2, or vice versa? Cause the first boss in 1 I handled easily. It's after that that I'm getting jumped by by multiple mobs, straight nuking my health

This just proves a lot of ARPG vets are terrible gamers propped up by the press one button and the screen explodes nature of end game builds lol

Game isn't that hard at all I started a rogue and i'm at the manor in act one and only died to a ohko to the executioner guillitone move cuz I didn't think it would kill lol.

but the game doesn't seem too hard at all.

2 is more difficult. By introducing the dodge roll they made enemies/bosses more dangerous because you have an evade mechanic by default.

PoE1 was all about the build/gear you ran and how fast you can burst down enemies. Didn't have to really worry about evading attacks until end game bosses.

Yea all the gameplay vids I'm seeing got more rolls than Subway.

At this point... You can't make these people happy. There is just no feasible way you create the perfect 1000 hour game in early access to please them. :snoop:

one thing I learned about arpg dudes from playing d4 and going on reddit to get builds and thoughts etc dudes will literally put like 14 hour days into this shyt for two weeks. blitz thru everything, then complain about the endgame :dead:

completely impossible to satisfy but luckily those dudes are a vocal minority

coming off Elden Ring this game is light to me on difficulty
