but the spurs playing style is to okc's advantage....spurs wanna get up and down...that's what okc thrives off of.
i can picture popovich forcing his team to slow the tempo down playing the thunder and the heat if that happens.

Spurs aren't really that much arun and gun team during the playoffs but point taken. The advantage the Spurs have is being able to rely on TD down low where as OKC has no one down low on offense to bother our bigs

the thunders biggest advantage was fast break points, lakers defended the thunder well in the half court.

Game 2: Thunder win by 2 points, outscore lakers by 13 fast break points
Game 3: Lakers win by 3, Thunder outscore lakers by 16 fast break points
Game 4: Thunder win by 3, Lakers have 1 more fast break point
Game 5: Thunder win by 16, Thunder outscore lakers by 25 fast break points

Thats one of the lakers biggest flaws, they don't get easy buckets as much as other good teams.

The average pace of that series was around 85.0-90 that's the lakers Territory , if we were allowed to control the pace upwards to 95+ , the series would have been a blowout. fast break pts is a terrible indicator because we rarely leaked in the full court for fast breaks, most were only on steals or kobes horrible shot selection. you notice how in games 1&5 we created separation? the reason was because we played at our pace. games 2-4 were grit n grind because we were slowed into an HALFCOURT offense.

Why ppl ignoring this? The Spurs are on a serious roll right now. I don't know if any team is beating them the way they've been playing the past two months.
