A lot of fans that are stuck in 2015 still see Pac as the man to beat. If he didn’t beat Thurman, I would get what you mean.

This is a passing of the torch fight that Bud needed. It will make the inevitable Spence fight even bigger IMO. I feel that fight still happens...we’re like at the semi finals of this unofficial Welterweight “tournament”.

Maybe have Spence fight Thurman after Ugas and Bud fights Porter after Pac.

And then Spence and Crawford the week before the Superbowl in 2022.

Lmao at Spence/Crawford being the super bowl fight. Yall crack me up.

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Canelo asked for the catchweight,
This isn't true and is a lie I seen get spread around a lot .Canelo didn't ask for a catchweight.. Why would a fighter ask to drain himself? :heh: Floyd was trying to drag Canelo down to 147 and when they told him the lowest they can go was 152 Floyd used that to try and force Canelo into a take it or leave it deal to fight for the junior middleweight strap

The obsession with washed fighters is so odd. I can't think of any other sport where athletes who are this far gone still get this much attention. Imagine fans laying down mad money to see what Carmelo Anthony or Larry Fitzgerald were going to do in their next games.

You shouldn't compare GOATS to normal human beings.. Pac has already proved he is different.

All I've wanted is for Thurman or Spence to get a chance to be the ones to knock Pac off to give one of them the elevation to more of a mainstream name.

He asked for it cuz he thought Floyd wouldn’t take the fight at 154.

I’m sure that didn’t benefit canelo at all, I lean way more to the fact that he was no where in his prime.

Manny beat Thurman in his prime and it looks like he’s gonna fight crawford in his prime.

Manny beating Thurman in his prime>a green and drained canelo.
Funny you don’t bring these age gap excuses when teofimo beat lomachenkos ass. But but teofimo wasn’t in his prime right? Still won though...

"I'll tell you the truth of what happened," Alvarez said in Spanish through translator Eric Gomez. "Why would I give up the weight? I'm at 154. I'm the 154-pound champion.

"I wouldn't do that. But when the (fight) negotiations started, they wanted me to go to 147. I said that's physically impossible. I couldn't do it. Then they inched up to 150. I said I can't do it, that's impossible. Those days are over. I can't make that weight anymore, I've grown.

"Then they went up to 151. And then finally, so we could make the fight, I said, 'If anything, I'll give up two pounds. I'll go up to 152. I agreed to that. Then they tried to force me to be quiet and not to mention anything that they came up with the weight of 152. And that's why ... I haven't said anything until now.

You are right :ohhh:

The Floyd stans just made that up that I even started to believe it:snoop:

Floyd fanboys used to run their mouth calling fighters catchweight kings or discrediting a fighter claiming their opponent was drained.. Yet wanna give Floyd FULL CREDIT for draining a young Canelo and fighting him at a catchweight in a division Floyd fought twice at with no catchweights so they came up with this fantasy where Canelo asked Floyd to fight at a catchweight.. He asked Floyd to drain himself :heh: when Floyd was demanding it the whole time

I do remember Floyd calling manny a catch weight king but somehow believed that running lie, I guess it makes sense since they had to juelz their way out of it. Low class :scusthov:

I didn’t think when I mentioned that manny could have a better resume that it would struck a nerve.

Ya but Floyd didn’t beat Thurman and possibly crawford in their prime
He beat Manny though. :dwillhuh:

Plus he beat a young Canelo.

And more than that, he doesn’t have any blemishes on his record. Manny does. And I fukk with Manny heavy but no amount of successes is gonna make up for some of his failures, at least in comparison to a guy who has never even really come close to losing.

What breh??

The NBA is the prime example. Nobody’s fans are stuck in the past like basketball fans.
