But him with a good supporting cast is a minimum guarantee of AFC title game with a good shot of winning. Idc what happened last year he's still the best QB in the league and as long as he's motivated and has guys that can catch and a good enough defense/st he can win the super bowl. And he'll be motivated. Getting him to come back a 2nd year is a diff story but a good season this year is worth 1 or 2 1sts.

No its not you set yourself back for the future when you give up a bunch of draft capital for probably a 1 year rental. Its superbowl or bust if you don't win it all

To get Lamar you need to :

- negotiate a brand new contract with him
- hope the Ravens don't match the offer when every indication is that they will

Teams aren't trying to do Baltimores dirty work for them just to get left empty handed. No one's gonna make a move in that situation until either Baltimore says they're flat out trading him/not matching or Lamar says he's not playing for the Ravens ever again.

Depends on the contract. Ravens wont match a certain number and that is why they haven't offered that number to Lamar yet.

If I am the Jets I am stacking the offense and going all in. Get OBJ, and anyone else that takes the roof off and try and get that Superbowl whilst you have Rodgers otherwise why are you paying him like this and potentially giving up a 1st for him?

They are delaying this trade because they are shook of the possibility of Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, and Russell Wilson being paired up in the same division. Those are the quarterbacks most responsible for the evolution of quarterback position from a stationary pocket passer to a dynamic outside of the pocket passer.

You know he meant conference
Lol conference we know what he meant
His point still doesn't make sense

Why would those 4 being in the same conference... cause any problem?

The nfl has been hyping up mobile QBs forever. That wouldn't be something they would block

It just feels like a try hard conspiracy post

I meant all four would be in same conference but paired up in the same division. Rodgers and Allen in AFC East, and Mahomes and Wilson in AFC West.

Something about these types of quarterbacks attract each other. Maybe the fact that their styles of play are so similar brings out competitive nature in them to prove one is better than the other. That could explain why Broncos sucked all season but turned it up against Chiefs because Wilson turned it up against Mahomes. It's also probably why Raiders signed Jimmy Garoppolo. He's also super competitive while Derek Carr is not. That competitive fire is even stronger against Mahomes who's blown him out in their two regular season meetings and beat him in a Superbowl.

Jets either pass on talented QB's in the draft or pick the wrong ones. Renting Rodgers for a year puts them right back at having to find another QB with one less pick to get it done. At least with Lamar you can bank on having him for years.

Darnold and Wilson
