Show has good acting, good directing, but the story is so stupid.

You move to a place where ur totally under tbe radar and try to use the money in a tourist town.

My only thing is, he should've started building his own resort/hotel. But that would've been too suspicious bc it all cash money

Breh, do u know what under the radar is? The feds already visited him in the Ozarks and the fruity 1 is scheemin on the DL. All they would have to do is get a warrant for the books of any of his businesses and he'd be done. Not to mention the Cartel just letting him walk, but threatening him at the same time. The writing is a lil out there, but it's entertaining.

He had just seconds to come up with an excuse before he got executed. They're portraying him as a master of talking his way out of immanent death with no prep time, even under torture.

episode 9 when he tells everybody to pull up is one of the top 5 moments of the season, he, omar, and flynn from Black sails (still salty about that) are the hardest gay male characters ever (no homo)

I finally got through this one. I think for whatever reason that it might have been better with a couple more episodes to flesh things out.
I just cannot buy the Cartel sending 1 guy down with $50M in cash like that. I mean it is not like he couldn't have been in an accident driving those back roads.....
I think his business partner in the restaurant is gone for good.
I think someone mentioned upthread that he should have taken his family and split with the $50 M.
The one thing that bothers me is that you never get to leave the Cartel. If you are not successful - you die - if you are successful (like he was) they are always going to come back to you for more.
I will hang on till next season and see how this all turns out.

I am not sure about the daughter almost drowning, Giant. It have read on other boards that she got disoriented and descended in order to regroup. I think she was either contemplating suicide having just been caught running away, or almost drowned. Who knows?
Only a cac goes swimming by themselves way out in a lake at night. I still think the son has more craziness brewing in him.

This show has all the fukkery of Breaking Bad packed into season 1. I love this shyt! The story is dope but the characters, Marty Byrde primarily, are stupid as fukk. Cant wait for season 2

But at least in this case she's "In" on the scam even before the audience is. So we don't have to spend a bunch of episodes with the male lead leading a double life from his wife.
