You cant build an offense on Westbrook.. but hes the #1 sidekick that everyone needs in a team with a top Superstar.. Westbrook fits perfectly with Durant in that regard

And Westbrook >> AI

Time will tell if the westbrook/Durant combo can get over the top but you brought up AI being exposed in Denver like he wasn't averaging 25 & 7 on 45% shooting w/ melo n winning 50 games a year in a stacked west. Westbrook is more explosive but he relies on that explosiveness a lot (like AI) n I see a similar fall off in his future as well. That 25 & 7 would also represent Russ's best season to date. Russ = AI w/ a better team

And currently you can put Kyrie on that list as far as overrated. He is a scorer and exciting as hell but i just dont know if he gets the team concept sometimes and if he knows when he should lead and when he shoud fall back. He could become the modern day Marbury if he isnt careful.

I completely agree and that's a perfect comparison.

Kobe Bryant
i was waiting for one of you idiots to post this troll nonsense. lol.

lets see, kobe...overrated. with 5 rings. 3 with shaq and a bunch of role players. 2 with gasol and a bunch of role players. he drug a team into the playoffs and almost beat the 2nd seed team when he had guys who couldnt even remain in the nba a couple of years later(smush, brian cook), kwame butter fingers brown and i'll pass instead of shoot the open shot walton. all on that same team. quiet as kept. i have never seen a superstar take a worse team that far(dont say first round exit. that was the final result but he did have the suns on the ropes, that alone was insane).. and we're talking in the west (the deepest conference). Tmac had a horrible team when he was dragging those clowns in orlando around. but that conference was top heavy and super weak from 5 thru the last team. so it was a lot easier to get in over there.

but fine... kobe is overrated. lol. can anyone find me a stat on a player that has been playing for 19 seasons that actually just got a career high(17 assists). and he's not a pg. so dont say he should've done that before. thats not his job. but the fact he did this as an old senior citizen guy is incredible. but let you tell it. he's overrated. fine. name me some other player that has played that long and just pulled up a career high like that. i'll wait.

I wonder how come Elgin Baylor was having such a low percentage fg during his career. That's one player that might be overrated, whenever someone talks about Baylor they quickly bring how he is underrated, one of the game changing type of legends and so on. But he was more athletic than the majority of the league, could easily rebound that time but looking at the stats the guy was either jacking up too many shots in kobe style or that's something else. I mean the guy had West for majority of his career, the good open looks should have been there.

kyrie, kevin love, Melo( i said it).. These are the big contract getters who cant drag their team into the playoffs in the east if they were the lone star(kobe did it, jordan did it, tracy mcgrady did it, allen iverson did it) but at the same token these 2 guys together cant win games without lebron james. thats sad, and dont blame the coach when you're that well paid and we see you as a superstar. these guys are not superstars. they are allstars. no more.. and no less.

melo who i really like. cant drag a team in the weak east into the playoffs. and his weak team was better then smush, kwame brown, walton, and brian cook.

did yall hear what kobe said prior to the cavs game. he said 5 years ago i could've put this team on my back. and we know its true because we've seen the man do it. Melo cant ever say that because he CAN'T do it. i've finally come to grips with that as a melo fan. no one should ever give melo Max money. he's not a MAX player if you cant drag a team into the 8th seed and you're not out of you prime years.

the only reason you care so much about fg% is because of all the stat geeks from this era. you have players like lbj and durant intentionally at times not taking last second shots to keep that fg% up. you got those guys making darn sure they get x amt of buckets going to the basket so they can have a higher fg%. Thats not natural basketball. play naturally and see what your fg% ends up being. i'll at least give guys like wade and t.parker credit. they just played their games and just so happened most of the time they are at the rim so high fg%.

question did elgin play part of his career pre 3pt line? if so that will help explain the fg% as well. guys taking super long two's that never could be counted as 3's. Yep he played all of his career pre 1979-80 which was the 3pt line.

Klay Thompson - he's not the best SG in the league and doesn't have a case when all he really does is shoot 3s and play defense. Granted he's extremely good at those 2 things but people arguing him over Harden is ridiculous when he has trouble creating his own shot

Denver lost because their offense revolved around 2 ballhoggers Melo and A.I.. A.I was essentially Kyrie Irving in Philadelphia because his initial position was to be a PG.. He shouldve worked on being a better passer and playmaker to add to his ability.. but he became nothing more than JR Smith with handles and efficiency in Denver
AI 2001 would be exposed like Kyrie in this era
