Denver lost because their offense revolved around 2 ballhoggers Melo and A.I.. A.I was essentially Kyrie Irving in Philadelphia because his initial position was to be a PG.. He shouldve worked on being a better passer and playmaker to add to his ability.. but he became nothing more than JR Smith with handles and efficiency in Denver
AI 2001 would be exposed like Kyrie in this era

He was drafted to be a point guard and averaged 7.5 assists/game in that role as a rookie. He also happened to be the best scorer on the team too. He has a ball hog rep but averaged a decent number of assists during his time with the Sixers and McKie, Snow, Ratliff, etc had the best years of their careers playing along side Iverson. I personally think its crazy that he was able to put up those assist numbers with that surrounding talent.

Then you compared him (a guy who by his 3rd season had LED his team to the playoffs and won a round) to a guy that has never been to the playoffs with a similar level of talent around him. Then you compared him to JR Smith who has only scored more than 15 ppg once in his career, never averaged more than 3 apg at any point in his career, and has never been the face of any team (we can count that 1 Knicks year he averaged 18 if you want).

AI wasn't a perfect player by any stretch but he was a beast and would be just fine in todays game. I agree with Denvers deficiencies as a team as well but they were coached by George Karl, who has done less with more than any coach in playoff history. Just as recently as 2013, he was winning a bunch of regular season games and being thoroughly out coached in the playoffs and he did that in ALL of his stops.

And how was AI a ball hog when he was a shooting guard who averaged 7 apg with the Nuggets?

Dwight Howard is the best example.

Considered by many as the best center in the league (this year not as much)

averaging 16.9pts 11.1rb 1.5blk

For the "best" C in the league that's disgusting. fukk the stats. Let's just go by stuff that's not in the box scores.

Can't post up. Doesn't lead a team. Literally gets rebounds because he's taller and more athletic. He doesn't box out and watches rebound fall. He has THE worst fake shot out of all the big men, he ain't fooling nobody with the slight shoudler raise and then leaning forward. He's like a 5 year old lying when he fakes, you see right through that shyt and can't wait to punish him.

In the Finals (his best year) he averaged 2 ast. How the fukk you gonna avg 2 ast when the game plan is surround you by 3 pt shooters and you're commanding attention. :snoop::childplease:

Umm what? Dwight is an elite defensive anchor and he led a team that Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis to the best defensive rating in the league that year he made it to the finals.

I'm not gonna really get into the reboubding necause it's a weird complaint. Dwight is almost always top 5 in rebounding when he hasn't been injured. He's a great rebounder. Taller? Dwight is like 6'10. Durant is clearly taller than he is.

Dwight isn't a "back to the basket" center but he's still an absolute beast because he can get you 16-20 PPG on high efficiency due to the fact that he's a great finisher inside and a monster in PnR.

He's a center that you don't have to run an offense through, is an elite rebounder and defensive anchor, and he gets you 16-20 PPG on sky high efficiency. That's pretty good especially when you consider that teams with C being their best scorers have been pretty "meh" since Shaq broke the league and made them change the league.

Yeah, he's adequately rated because we know NOW he ain't all that.

He WAS hyped when he was in school, but that's because he was beastin' in school.

He would be "overrated" if people still think he was the next Larry Bird.

Klay Thompson - he's not the best SG in the league and doesn't have a case when all he really does is shoot 3s and play defense. Granted he's extremely good at those 2 things but people arguing him over Harden is ridiculous when he has trouble creating his own shot
Klay Thompson, most overrated player in the league right now :scusthov:

 and everyone who dapped yall and agreed wit you:ufdup:

Joe Dumars - didnt play defense and was simply not HOF material. Very good scorer but not amazing, he just happened to be on a team that won 2 titles
:mjlol::mjlol:
