I do agree with you that they face cultural extinction (a kind of genocide) if Russia completely conquers Ukraine.

But the 1930s famines in the USSR was not genocidal. Famines occurred in Soviet Kazakhstan, North Caucasus, the Volga Region, the Urals, and Siberia.
