this should have been outkast vs Bone imo
but then again Bone is prolly being saved for Wu tang.
yea. bone/wutang was the REAL battle of the '90s.
i wouldnt mind seeing bone battle naughty by nature tho.
weirdos on here want to see a bone battle wasted on 3-6 mafia tho.
I’ve said this before and got hate but fukk it, I have never heard a full Tribe album in my entire life, and it’s not because of age. Did they ever find their wallets?
LOL @ the bolded.
theyre legends, but a bit overrated. people go to far when they try to plug them in as a top 5 group and all that.
Q-Tip is very much overrated.
their 2nd album is a classic tho.
3rd album is borderline classic i guess.
4th album is really dope too.
I’ll respond to the last quote about production here as well, based on what? Personal preference? I can’t stand the track “Hey Ya” but there’s no Tribe song that’s matching it’s popularity. In a Versuz battle Tribe is losing to Outkast. I’m not a Tribe fan but I’m not looking at this with a personal bias, just objectively based off of how Versuz battles work. If this was a battle in a room full of backpackers judged by Peter Rosenburg than yeah, sure, Tribe with the win...but this is a Versuz battle.
ehh.
"hey ya" will likely lose its round. i dont see that trash holding up in this setting.
but outkast has that 2-hitter combo of ms jackson & so fresh. those are automatic wins, unless MAYBE if tribe throws on scenario.
Catalog speaks volume breh, and those dudes have track records with south, westcoast/the bay, midwest and the east. It was disrespectful what Swizz's stipulations were in regards to UGK/Ball&G face off.
You'd be surprised who rocks with Ball and G. I remember when Gary Sheffield randomly named dropped them in a magazine years ago as his go to group to listen to pre game. Stuff like that you cant sleep on. Like I said best kept secret.
In every verzuz so far the popular track hasnt always did the job.
gary sheffield is from the south. i dont see your point.
what were the stipulations tho??
