You can include the whole Native Tongues movement and let Leaders of the New School hype man and Kast will still wash them. To be fair though its a bad match up.

:comeon: C'mon son

Absolutely in for this. I don't even know if I want to pick a winner.

I've been saying since they first started Verzuz, if Tip gets into his production/ collab bag, someone is gonna have a :lupe:night.

There's huge joints like 'Honey' by Mariah that he was involved with, that I had no idea he was on board for, the movie soundtrack work like 'Crooklyn Dodgers' and leftfield collabs like 'Groove Is In The Heart'. Dude has a Prince remix, a Stevie collab and 'Got Til It's Gone' w/ Janet and Dilla in the stash too :banderas:

That's before we talk Mobb, Jay and Nas work too. As far as his current joints go, I'm partial to his songs with Roc Marci, but I don't think they will ring off in a battle like that. He even has an Andre collab he can play in 'Kids' off the last Tribe album.

If he plays the 'Scenario Remix' Dre and Big Boi are both gonna be :wow:. They got their deal rhyming for Rico off that instrumental.

People must be forgetting all of this. :francis: It's not gonna the blowout they're predicting, by any stretch of the imagination

They could handle Kast in a back to back mix on a DJ show on the radio or our personal home made playlists... of course

I’m talking about the Verzuz platform.. the platform that’s judged off industry standards like biggest charted hits and biggest features

Has nothing to do with Kast having some type of armor... some of us just lookin at it for what it is and this is coming from a guy that can listen to more Ball & G music than Kast

Verzuz is nothing but a popularity contest and we all know Kast has the more popular songs :yeshrug:

We already know what the IG comment section is gonna look like whenever 1 of those Andre features comes on

Ball and G have done it longer, underground and on the big stage, with cult classics in both factors. They are the secret weapon in regards to that favorite group that isnt mentioned until its time :sas2:

People forget that Kast have two sets of fans. They have the day ones like I’m sure most of the people in here are, and the Stankonia and up fans. It’s going to be close for the people actually taking score but us fans would be vibing. It definitely won’t be. The same without Phife though :mjcry:

Classic Niccas
catologue quality wise they are about the same ...but outkast music just has a different energy that tribe can’t match...and they’ve touched more generations than tribe has ..meaning nikkas like lil baby probably grew up on their later music..(which is the kinda crowd that tunes in and dictates how these things go a lot of the times)

not speaking for lil baby personally, but people like lil baby, generally did NOT grow up on outkast.

theyre more familiar with outkast than tribe, of course. but they didnt grow up on that.

nor are they gonna pay any attention to this battle.

People in here are so isolated from the rest of the world and let their personal preference judge these things..as opposed to seeing it for what it is..a display to a MASS audience of artists catalogs and hits and how it impacted those audiences

Ask somebody at your regular workplace (those everyday hip hop listeners who are the majority people who watch this, not in depth coli surfers who know kingpin skinny pimp b sides) to name 2 8ball and mjg songs ...let alone 20

yea

im always calling out the bizarro-world forum culture. this is yet another example.

i dam near passed out when i saw dude throw UGK and 8ball & MJG's names in the hat, as if people really know their chit.

Outkast has smash hits, impact and relecancy still seen today.
Tribe doesn't have the smash hits and are pretty much unknown or irrelevant to many rap fans past the late 90's.
This is Verzuz, not a message board battle. Tribe hits not ringing off the same outside of music nerds.

tribe and outkast have mostly the same fans in the hip-hop AND r&b realms.
only difference is that outkast crossed over into the pop world - which is not gonna play a factor in this.

outkast is more modern but the industry has protected tribe's legacy in the same vein that wutang's legacy is protected.
people thinking tribe's music isnt recognizable, are just wrong. they have alot of songs in movies/tv shows/commercials all the time.
hell, i just seen some teenager walking around with a "low end theory" shirt the other day.

outkast tops them in a 20-song battle, but its not a blowout.
and tribe's hits ring off just the same as outkast's if we're being real. to act like outkast fans arent the same music nerds that love tribe, is a bit misinformed.

I'd bet in Japan and various spots overseas Tribe > Outkast

Its bigger than a U.S battle too:sas2:
