Tribe doesn't have the smash hits and are pretty much unknown or irrelevant to many rap fans past the late 90's.

Kast is the most popular rap duo ever, the only groups matching them in popularity or are more famous is Bone thugs(50 mill), Wu tang(40 mill according to rza, so idk how credible that is), and if you include more poppish rap acts Black Eyed Pies(80 mill)

I said it before, regardless of what parameters you allow for the battle Kast will destroy Tribe, but its hilarious how much yawl reaching now, include Nas with Tribe cause Tip did a beat, by the time yawl done its gonna be Tribe, Nas, Busta Rhymes, De la Soul, Mariah Carrey, Mobb Deep and Lucy Pearl VS Outkast lol. bro midnight mauraders production alone crushes damn near any hip hop record. Kast definitely better on the mic but tribes production can’t be beat
