Breh, who cares whether Kast is in that mix?

This was not even about popularity. Where did I say they were as popular? I said they all made music that appealed to mainstream America even though they were penning first person narratives that depicted sex, drugs, and violence, but having the R&B hooks made all that digestible. Don't even know how you drew that conclusion.

YOU care.

thats why you subliminally grouped them in like that.

and im referring to the whole "these guys were all acceppted in the mainstream in a different way." bullchit you were tryna pedal.

thats what this chit is REALLY all about.
thats the real reason yall are so much in denial about the arrested development thing. you want them to be seen in a whole different light.
and i dont even be dissing when i state the obvious on that. i actually liked arrested development. and when i came in here, i said i think outkast would top tribe in a verzus.

:mjlol: This tough guy/know it all persona you got on here is LAUGHS, bruh... you're the only one who believes it. "A homely homosexual", really? Just cause I clown you for damn near always bein' off-point about music and wrestling and your lil' marshmallow-ass heart can't take it? And not only do you be dead-ass wrong, but PROUDLY loud and wrong, poor comprehension and all  it's a sight to see sometimes

Yeah man, go tend to your "real shyt", cause this music discussion shyt ain't your lane. This has been true for as long as you been on here, and you still provin' it to this day... TO THIS DAY... TO THIS DAY :pachaha:

see look at you. always following me around with a vendetta.

what "tough guy" persona??
if you think im sporting a tough guy persona on here, then that says alot about YOU, not me.
no wonder you stan outkast so hard. you a whole ass nerd.

as for the "know it all" thing, if you really feel that way, then prove me wrong.
instead, you come out the woodwork with personal attacks that are in no relation to the actual discussion.
so what does that tell you??
and since you keep tabs on me so much, surely you would know that IM THE FIRST ONE TO ADMIT WHEN IM WRONG ON THE COLI. my track record speaks for itself, so go head with that funny chit.

and lol. i just skimmed thru some more of your post. up here talembout wrestling.
youre not even a wrestling fan. youre a WWE stan. of course youre not gonna like my posts in TSC. go watch 'the best of the miz" and hop off my top.

bul in here having a nervous breakdown over this trivial chit.:mjlol:

How did I subliminally group them together? You mentioned how Kast had this soul, funk R&B leaning sound and I pointed out that other acts from '94 were on the same wave and yes they were all accepted. You don't move units like that in 1994 without being accepted by the mainstream.

The whole Arrested Development thing is bogus because

1) Kast was more street than Arrested

2) Arrested was irrelevant to Hip Hop

You are dissing them by doing that because you propped this opinion on the notion that Kast is some hybrid group that were never taken seriously.

I don't get how you can sit there and say Kast would beat Tribe in a Verzuz, but then say Kast inherited Arrested's fan base. Makes no sense.

What? Out of all the discussion for the past few pages, that is the most that's been on topic because it relates to the Verzuz. Tribe is GOAT status with classic on classic. If Kast was what you try to make them out to be, the whole notion of them doing a Verzuz against Tribe would be laughed to oblivion. Let them announce a Verzuz of Tribe against Arrested and see how far that gets.

How can they not be GOAT status? There's entire movement (a real movement actually) sparked by them that expanded beyond just their group and region. There are GOAT producers who learned from Q Tip and he helped shape other classics. Influenced even more.

How is that a desperation statement? Only desperation I see is how desperate you are to discredit a group you claim not to care about while further embarrassing yourself in the process.

Andre 3000 Talks Lost ATCQ/Outkast Collab Album

I don’t have no big message or speech or nothing but just, “Keep that shyt going.” And Tribe meant everything to me. They are everything. It’s always, “Who are the greatest groups?” fukk that shyt. [Points to Tribe Called Quest.] This dude [Q-Tip] taught me what kind of rapper I wanted to be. My first rap, I remember it now, it was “Young and naive/Alive I keep the dream/Writin’ funky lyrics at the age of 16.” I wrote it because of you. [Points to Q-Tip.] I didn’t even know what the word naive meant. [Crowd laughs.] Q-Tip taught me words. “Elation.” I’m sitting in high school like, “Damn I gotta look this shyt up.” “I’m filled with elation.” Ohhhhh, okay. We can use these words too? We can be smart? Yeah, man. He gave me fuel. And I gotta give the young nikkas fuel. We gotta quit hatin’ on each other. To Phife.

Matter of fact, there's several movements that can be traced back to Tribe. Tip and Ali Shaheed as producers have influence beyond Hip Hop and sparked movements in R&B as well.
That’s what I been saying this while time. Both AD and Kast fall under this influence. Two different extremes but they both had that Native Tongue influence all in their music and as a result were gonna share some of the same fan base. Just like I’m sure plenty of people who were into neo-soul had been into the Native Tongues too

You a comical nikka for real tho'... it's cool. Every circus needs a clown, so it's only right that you're here. Your lil' 'smartest guy in the room' gimmick works for you.

I'm on here to occasionally shoot the shyt and talk about stuff I'm interested in. YOU think it's deeper than that. That's why you on here at 6:25 in the morning breakin' the keys off your laptop over this shyt.

"Making personal attacks"... I ain't ever gotten anywhere near your personal life, breh... I don't know shyt about it. YOU the one tryin' to gauge peoples' real life personalities due to the music they like or don't like. I could call you a whole goofball based on your Benzino stanning and how worked up you get over this message board shyt, but I never have :mjlol:

Far as the wrestling shyt... breh, don't do this :russ: I was watchin' the shyt before you were walkin'.

Either way, I've spent about 5 minutes typin' this, which is about all the time I'm givin' to "Wacky D on the Coli" for one day. Have a good 1, goof.

Anybody being honest knows that Outkast would smoke Tribe in a vs battle setting. Doesn’t matter who you personally prefer.

their portfolio is lite compared to the real goats.

im not discrediting anybody. theres just levels to this chit. but you never seem to comprehend that.

what GOAT producers were influenced by Q-Tip?? this is what im talking about. yall take these big ass terms and throw them around recklessly. then you turn around and call me a 'discreditor' because i simply dont join in on the circle-jerk.

first i was the "toughest guy in the room", now im running the "smartest guy" routine??? which one is it??:hula:is it oochie wally wally or is it one mic??

youre prolly on here more than me actually.

and you claim that this chit means nothing to you, but youre the one always following me around, and going off-topic with insults. this thread right here is proof positive. you didnt even attempt to argue any of the points i made. SMH. you dont see me doing that to you, but yet im the one who takes this board seriously?? LOL. get real. stop throwing rocks and hiding your hands.

as for the wrestling chit, it doesnt matter how long youve been watching. youre a notorious WWE stan.
and youre not even that match older than me. you just got me by a few years. LOL.

nikkas fall flat and dont want to ever be wrong
if you try to compare arrested development to outkast the only way you can say they are similar is by being more woke than the usual music at that point

you can never win that argument because their whole first album is G shyt :russ:
imagine comparing this song to any arrested development song

you might as well just compare tribe instead, left my wallet in el segundo is way better comparison
tribe is way more hiphop generic based/getting your shyt off fun verses
outkast was psychedelic street shyt from the jump

no matter what song you pick off SPCM you're gonna lose the comparison battle ... whole CD is about dropping out, doing drugs and beating people up, fukking thick hoes.
