He is saying they shared the Native Tongues base, which isn't Arrested's base per se because that base existed BEFORE Arrested and people who were fans of Native Tongues were fans of both Kast and Arrested. Kast didn't inherit Arrested's fan base, they inherited a part of the Native Tongues fan base. People who became fans of Kast didn't become fans because they saw a likeness to Arrested, but because you could hear elements of Pharcyde and Tribe in Kast's music.

His post is near opposite of what you've been pushing in this thread.

Tribe bring directly compared to Arrested Development makes more sense because of how they came in. They did the reverse of what Kast did. Tribe came in with daishikis and other clothes that were considered weird then switched. Only thing you can compare with them groups is that they came out of Atlanta.

Music is timeless. It doesn’t matter if you’re only 23 & don’t know shyt about Tribe. Their classic material transcends time & Verzuz will bring back that feeling you had when you first heard those records that’s the beauty of this shyt.
