go sitdown.

youre taking the thread backwards with this simpleton logic that was already crushed.

you cant take a 22 page thread backwards when the battle aint even gonna happen ... and big boi is the only stable person that would show up :mjlol:

outkast would simply wash tribe thats all that needs to be said.... not because of status or legendry/comparison because like someone said Outkasts influence is from Tribe
tribe was just too disfunctional and their style didnt progress enough to match all of the shyt outkast did ... its just not a good matchup... you cant play B.O.B or Speedballin and then play Can I Kick It or Bonita Applebum

nikkas can go from Jungle music to 1920 dancing the charleston to techno funk back to southern rock to smooth R&B soul back to 1960s beatles covers

meanwhile you're still over here rapping over the amen break and big beat drums ... put tribe against EPMD and throw OUTKAST vs WUTANG group albums only

their portfolio is lite compared to the real goats.

im not discrediting anybody. theres just levels to this chit. but you never seem to comprehend that.

what GOAT producers were influenced by Q-Tip?? this is what im talking about. yall take these big ass terms and throw them around recklessly. then you turn around and call me a 'discreditor' because i simply dont join in on the circle-jerk.

Breh, check Tribe's first three albums. I already talked about the impact that they not only had on Hip Hop, but music in general.

To say that their portfolio is "lite" is prime example of you being a "discreditor". Statements like these come off as statements from someone on the outside looking in as opposed to someone who is somewhat in the know.

And yeah, Q Tip influenced producers from Dre to Havoc to Kanye West to The Neptunes to Timbaland.

crazy how @JustCKing daps this, but is still trying to push a narrative about me.

chit is wild.

I dapped that post because it makes logical sense.

He is saying that Kast and AD were both influenced by the Native Tongues, which is a true statement. He goes on to say that Kast and AD were two different extremes (which was my argument throughout this entire 'Kast inherited AD's fan base' debacle of an argument). He is saying they shared the Native Tongues base, which isn't Arrested's base per se because that base existed BEFORE Arrested and people who were fans of Native Tongues were fans of both Kast and Arrested. Kast didn't inherit Arrested's fan base, they inherited a part of the Native Tongues fan base. People who became fans of Kast didn't become fans because they saw a likeness to Arrested, but because you could hear elements of Pharcyde and Tribe in Kast's music.

His post is near opposite of what you've been pushing in this thread.

yall throw big terms around like theyre going out of style.

If you knew you wouldn't be questioning their position. They started a movement that was impactful beyond just them and the East Coast. They dropped iconic albums.

And yes, Dre's The Chronic was influenced by Low End Theory:

"Dre’s post-N.W.A. debut sold over two million copies in its first year on shelves and has since gone on to sell six million copies in the US alone. Its rumbling low-end bass dumps (influenced by A Tribe Called Quest’s ‘The Low End Theory’),"

Dr. Dre’s ‘The Chronic’: A 4/20 deep dive into the album that changed hip-hop forever

All of those producers I listed are somewhere in the Top 10-15.

youre so full of chit.:laff:

Breh, you dapped the same post that clearly stated that Kast and AD were two different extremes (which is spot on with my argument against the narrative that "Kast inherited AD's base") and that the only thing both groups shared was the Native Tongue influence, qn influence that could be traced without ever mentioning Arrested Development.

top 10-15 is not GOAT-LEVEL.
this is where we differ.
i wouldnt put any of them in my top 15 producers either, except dre. but thats besides the point.
if you said tribe was a top 15 group, i would agree. if you put them at the bottom of your top 10, i wouldnt agree but i wouldnt bat an eye either. thats not goat-level tho.

i think i remember that artcle. dre just said that "low end theory inspired him to try to top it, or something to that effect"
thats not influence. and we already know that dre basically just jacked above the law for the g-funk chit. he can mask it by propping up other producers all he wants.

outkast and AD were more funky & country than tribe. as well as similar presentation.
this chit isnt really rocket science, but you can just stay in the dark where you belong. im done with that chit. you can stay stupid per usual.

nikkas fall flat and dont want to ever be wrong
if you try to compare arrested development to outkast the only way you can say they are similar is by being more woke than the usual music at that point

you can never win that argument because their whole first album is G shyt :russ:
imagine comparing this song to any arrested development song

you might as well just compare tribe instead, left my wallet in el segundo is way better comparison
tribe is way more hiphop generic based/getting your shyt off fun verses
outkast was psychedelic street shyt from the jump

no matter what song you pick off SPCM you're gonna lose the comparison battle ... whole CD is about dropping out, doing drugs and beating people up, fukking thick hoes.

I’ll never understand comparing them. Kast came in the game looking like some regular Georgia boys that can spit rocking Braves gear and everything. Tribe bring directly compared to Arrested Development makes more sense because of how they came in. They did the reverse of what Kast did. Tribe came in with daishikis and other clothes that were considered weird then switched. Only thing you can compare with them groups is that they came out of Atlanta.

i gave you a musical breakdown as to why kast & AD appealed to similar audiences, as well as social examples.

youre still thinking inside the box on some rap stuff. its bigger than hip-hop.

Would be epic and I don’t see how you could say OutKast would demolish. Both groups have tons of hit records that resonate to this day. Would love to see this because both groups are legendary :banderas::banderas:

Music is timeless. It doesn’t matter if you’re only 23 & don’t know shyt about Tribe. Their classic material transcends time & Verzuz will bring back that feeling you had when you first heard those records that’s the beauty of this shyt. Tribe has way too many bangers to be disrespected by OutKast fans. And I’m a huge OutKast fan!

first i was the "toughest guy in the room", now im running the "smartest guy" routine??? which one is it??:hula:is it oochie wally wally or is it one mic??

youre prolly on here more than me actually.

and you claim that this chit means nothing to you, but youre the one always following me around, and going off-topic with insults. this thread right here is proof positive. you didnt even attempt to argue any of the points i made. SMH. you dont see me doing that to you, but yet im the one who takes this board seriously?? LOL. get real. stop throwing rocks and hiding your hands.

as for the wrestling chit, it doesnt matter how long youve been watching. youre a notorious WWE stan.
and youre not even that match older than me. you just got me by a few years. LOL.

Wacky...

What need would I have to "throw rocks and hide hands"? What would I be hiding my hands from on a message board? A post in all caps and bold?? :mjlol:

Ain't nobody followin' you around. You goin' on MY profile searchin' MY posts, but I'm the one followin' you? Oh really? :heh:

But since you wanna talk about posts, I just got wind of you talkin' about black people's hatred of Trump bein' "unwarranted" nshyt... Breh, GTFOH. Literally! Spare me the reply!
