OutKast Reunion is dead, says Sleepy Brown

An OutKast reunion has been ruled out by Sleepy Brown, who helped craft some of the legendary Hip Hop group’s biggest hits during their heyday.

While talking to TMZ at LAX on Monday (June 12), the Organized Noize member said that an OutKast reunion is out of the question after the reporter picked his brain about Speakerboxxx/The Love Below turning 20 this year.

“Nah, they not,” Sleepy Brown said. “[André 3000] is on a while nother journey and he’s, you know, doing something. But me and Big [Boi] are still doing tours and stuff like that.

“Don’t hold your breath for no OutKast reunion. Don’t do it to yourself. It’s not gon’ happen, folks. If you wanna see us, we gon’ be Dungeon Family. That’s about it.”

That’s a southern thing. Lots of southern rappers wore it or had it on their album covers etc for years

The crazy thing is that these guys have been in it for 30 years and if they released an album today, with legit production, shiit would sell like crazy/be met with absolute universal acclaim and fanfare.


Cuz its not like these two guys are anywhere NEAR larry holmes status and still can present a mean pen game and sellout major arenas on a year long tour go with said potential if it came down to it (and sold out never night i would bet, cuz peeps still want to hear their old catalogue as well).


Kast gotta know they are one of the most coveted duos in music history.



It's a real real waste for sure.
