I don't think Sloan, Phil, or Pat can save this team. Trades need to be made. I really don't see much wrong outside of Nash. Metta is a nuisance as a starter but he can easily benched for a role player at SF.

We dont need to make any trades breh.

The problem is :whoo:

He's a horrible coach and needs to be fired immediately. After he was fired by the Cavs, dude was coaching HS football before we hired him breh.....HS Football:snoop:

He's had enough time with this franchise and we need to get this bum ass coach out of here before we through away another season with him.

At this point....I would take Mike D'Antoni breh:to:

Mike Brown HAS to go immediately:pacspit:

Brehs, if it was Mike Brown in the same role Thibs had in Boston and we had D'Antoni we'd be better off. But real shyt you get Jerry Sloan, a new backup PG, and a SF and we're thoroughly improved. Artest can come off the bench for us.

Ebanks has low BBIQ and isn't all that skilled, that can kill the Princeton as much as players like Nash who lack of the ball skills. Someone like Sefolosha would be perfect. He can play a role. A young Rick Fox type would be effective. I might even look into Austin Daye. Artest has strengths that outweigh Ebanks no matter what.

That's why I'm not completely sure the Princeton offense is right. I'd like to give Nash full reign to run. Ebanks can run with him, like a faux Ariza. Sefo actually would be perfect.

And I'm not saying Artest isn't effective. For some reason when his 3 is falling, it's FALLING. But when it isn't, he keeps shooting. And he takes a lot of off balance 3's. That's what frustrates me the most. It's like he's rarely set. But his presence on D makes it almost worth having him on the court.

Nash never makes it to the line much since he primarily only shoots when he's wide open and/or it's late in the game or on the shot clock.

With Kobe, he typically gets most of his free throws from handling the ball so much. If he isn't isolating and backing his man down for a contested shot or trying to drive to the basket with the ball, he's not going to see the line much in this offense. One of the goals was to keep him more fresh by not forcing him to be a shooter AND a facilitator but that also means he will have the ball less, and ultimately, shoot the ball less.

If he shoots like he did tonight, I won't complain about his lack of ft's. I expect him to drive in more, and back down and try and get the call off pump-fakes. But it was pretty weird seeing them (mainly Kobe. Only reason I used Nash was b/c it influenced the %) not have any attempts. Kobe was 4th in the league in attempts last year.

Your personnel is actually a good fit for the Princeton style offense sans Nash. You really can't play to Nash strengths with this personnel. Howard has no range, Gasol is always around 16 since Memphis, you really don't have no shooters outside of Meeks who is a better scoring but worse shooting Dequan Cook, no real uptempo players outside of Dwight who can play in all offenses. Really, Nash is a terrible fit for the personnel, not just the Princeton system. This is a copout in my opinion.

We need Steve Nash and Jerry Sloan so that we can run that beautiful PnR offense Jerry Sloan is known for.

SF? Al Thornton is a FA and is an upgrade for cheap over World Peace.

Backup PGs? Only free agents with a name are Derek Fisher, Agent Zero, Baron Davis, Carlos Arroyo, Earl Boykins, Mike Bibby, Shaun Livingston, and Mike James

Aint no viable options at PG:to:

Artest doesn't understand his strengths, the Josh Smith effect. That's what hurts him. His defense was actually a positive tonight. Really the only one. Even Kobe struggle defensively tonight.

Ebanks isn't an uptempo player either nor is he a starter under any NBA circumstance. He is your typical 8-10 man off the bench. Good enough to give you 5-12 solid minutes. I wonder how Nash would look, watched the pre-season games and I was instantly worried about Nash's fit. Damien Lillard treated him like a SL fodder. I knew it might be a long season but Nash/Gasol PnR defense is amazingly bad. :jawalrus:
