We need Steve Nash and Jerry Sloan so that we can run that beautiful PnR offense Jerry Sloan is known for.

SF? Al Thornton is a FA and is an upgrade for cheap over World Peace.

Backup PGs? Only free agents with a name are Derek Fisher, Agent Zero, Baron Davis, Carlos Arroyo, Earl Boykins, Mike Bibby, Shaun Livingston, and Mike James

Aint no viable options at PG:to:

Thornton chucks way too much and has extremely low BBIQ. He is not in the NBA for a reason.

Shaun Livingston wouldn't be a bad fit. Jarrett Jack would be a perfect fit but GS isn't trading him at all.

:smh: Can we trade Pau and D12 for Lamarcus Aldridge? I know its the 1st game, but the Heat looked much better in there 1st game, even though our big 4 should compliment each other greatly, but too bad this guy is our coach:

So to summarize the comments this thread, after game 1, the Lakers need to:

Fire their coach
Throw their offense in the bushes
Trade their PG
Get rid of their PF and backup point guard
Have Kobe handle the ball and shoot 40 times a game

So.......what did the Lakers accomplish this offseason?

 for ESPN710 tomorrow morning and seeing what ways the team needs to be blown up after game 2 :troll:

seems like they wanna go back to 2006 :russ:

I know it's one game, but Jesus Christ. How do you almost beat Chicago last year with a lower standard team yet get humiliated a year later by the Mavs with this team!?!?

Yes, I'm

If Mitch didn't let the talent get depleted from those Shaq/Kobe teams those days might not have been so dark. :ld:

I can't wait to listen to ESPN 710 all day, preseason is over now these games count. dikk Riders like Mychal Thompson & Mark Willard (even tho he predicted the Lakers will win around 13 of their first 20 games) gonna be copping pleas all show.

"Kobe had a bad foot" "Dwight isn't 100% yet" "We need a new coach" "We don't have a bench" :sadbron:

fukk that! If they suited up to play no excuses, if they was that hurt they shouldn't have played
